Obtainment

This sword can be obtained in three different ways:

1. Purchasing it for 1,200 from the Shop.
2. Being gifted the "Dark Blade" Gamepass by another player.
3. Being traded the "Dark Blade" Gamepass by another player.

Version 2

Players can upgrade this sword into its second version by doing The Son Quest.

Slayer Skin

This sword has a skin variation known as White/Slayer Dark Blade where whenever the user turns on Aura, everything that was once green turns to white. Unlocking this skin also rewards the Slayer of God title.

Pros
General Could be really good when paired with a good stunning fruit such as Ice, Dark, Rumble, etc. High damage All moves can damage Sea Beast. Good combo potential. Both skills combo into each other. Low mastery requirements. Excellent for beginners.
[Z] One Thousand Slices Can Instinct Break. Stuns the enemy for an approximate duration of 0.75 seconds. Decent range.
[X] Dark Air Slash Has extremely long range, especially for a sword. High damage. Very fast. Can be held to make it even faster.

Cons
General Dash move on the 4th click move. Chop is immune to it due to it being a sword. Very expensive to obtain. Costs ≈$15 (USD)/£10/€12 to obtain, unless the player obtained the Robux from a premium payout or got it from trading/getting gifted it. Does not have a lot of Combos, and it instead depends a lot on reaction time and skills most of the time.

Trivia
There exists a triple version of the Dark Blade, named the Triple Dark Blade. This sword was added in Update 1, revamped in Update 17 Part 1 and had a visual overhaul in Update 20. Despite being "revamped" in Update 20's changelog, its hitboxes have not been altered; the changes were strictly visual. This is the only sword that requires a Game Pass to obtain. This is technically the only sword that can be traded (because the player can store it in the form of a gamepass). Upon activating aura, the sword will now radiate a green aura inside it. (White if the Slayer Skin is activated) The Brazil Cube allowed the first player who touched it to receive a free Dark Blade, only if it was spawned by an admin. It can be obtained by winning an admin hosted PvP tournament for YouTubers, in the Blox Fruits Discord server. This sword has a similar sword, which is the Dark Dagger. This is the only sword that has an alternate skin. This is probably one of the swords that is extremely difficult to use, due to requiring a lot of good aim and prediction skills. Before any other swords were added, Dark Blade's rarity was actually Legendary, instead of being Mythical before the addition of the Mythical rarity.
[X] Dark Air Slash Faster and deals more damage when held down since Update 20. The V1 has higher stun than its V2 counterpart and is also smaller.
