"The beast awakens to hunt for prey."

The Unbound Werewolf is a Lv. 3000 Raid Boss.

Location[]

The Unbound Werewolf is located at the Observatory.

Spawning[]

A portal leading to the Observatory has a chance to be opened whilst Trick or Treating houses during the Harvest Moon event. A cutscene plays showing the Unbound Werewolf howling, and the raid boss will spawn once players go through the portal.

The Unbound Werewolf does not despawn after the Harvest Moon ends. Players who die during the fight can re-enter after respawning, and the portal remains open until the raid boss is dead, or despawns after about 10 minutes of the door being open.

Drops[]

Abilities[]

The Unbound Werewolf uses the abilities of the Werewolf fruit (Tiger mutation)
Ability Description Tips
Normal Attack The Werewolf constantly pressures players with fast paced slashes and roars, causing knockback. Try to stay out of range. If hit, the player can instinct-dodge the slashes, but the roar will break Instinct.
Finger Revolver The Werewolf launches a barrage of purple bullets, ending it off with a Instinct breaking projectile. Try to stay out of range.
Spiraling Kick The Werewolf executes a long range kick, that travels off surfaces and carries players away. Try to stay out of range. This ability can also be avoided with Instinct.
Afterimage Assault The Werewolf lunges onto the player, slashing 4 times before ending it with a slam. Try to avoid staying on the ground. This ability can also be avoided with Instinct.
Body Flicker The Werewolf grabs a player, before punching them away with extreme knockback. Stay out of range. This ability breaks Instinct.

Notes[]

  • The Werewolf can dash and use Flash Step.
  • The Werewolf's behaviour is extremely erratic, and glitchy.
    • It is recommended to avoid using high knockback abilities, as there is a chance the boss may lose its pathway and fall out of the dimension. Certain stun-based fruits like Sand, Ice, Dark and Dough can aid greatly.
  • The Werewolf is immune to Godhuman's held [C] Sixth Realm Gun, and Awakened Dough's [C] Piercing Clothesline when faced solo.

Trivia[]

  • The Unbound Werewolf is the first Enemy to use a fully transformed beast fruit outside of raids.
    • The only other enemies that do so, are the Buddha raid enemies and Raid Boss.
  • The Werewolf does not despawn immediately after the Trick or Treating event ends, but on a own timer, that means that after spawning the Werewolf you do not need to go and kill it, you can still Trick or Treat till the end of the event and kill it afterwards.
  • There is a chance the Werewolf will glitch around the map or becoming invisible making it harder to defeat.
  • The Werewolf can sometimes kill you instantly with its Roar M1 (it's probably a glitch).
  • Despite Unbound Werewolf being based on the Werewolf mutation, he actually uses a recolor of Tiger's transformed [Z] Finger Revolver.
    • This suggests that initially, werewolf was simply meant to be a skin, and not a Mutation.
  • The user is able to deal a maxed damage across all stats when fighting the Unbound Werewolf, similar to Red Commander and Rip Commander when fought against in previous updates.
