Trading is a feature that was added in Update 15.
Function
Trading is the only way for players to exchange Blox Fruits and/or Game Passes and scrolls that have been bought with Robux
(unless they are gifting the permanent version of the fruit, or gifting the Game Pass). There are currently only two places where the player can trade, those being the Café (Second Sea) and the Mansion (Third Sea). If the player able to trade in the Third Sea, it is recommended because there is one extra seat, and players may have more progress there.
Trading is possible up to five times a day, which means if the player maxed their trading for that day, it will automatically reset after the day ended or after the clock hits (11:59 P.M. UTC+8:00).
There are no real trading values of every fruit in the game, although all fruits are given a money price by the developers.
| Once the player sits down, they need a different player to sit on the opposite side. Once both players are seated, a pop-up menu will appear. |

| Here the player should see their stored Blox Fruits and gamepasses bought. If one of the traders (or both) has already done five trades, the pop-up menu will not appear. |

Notes
- The player can only trade four items per trade.
- The player can only trade five times every eight hours.
- The player cannot give another player a Game Pass or Permanent Fruit if that player already owns that Gamepass or Permanent Fruit.
- Gamepasses and Permanent Fruits cannot be traded unless they're stored in the player’s inventory, which can be done by gifting it to themselves.
- The fruits being traded cannot have a total price difference of over 40%.
- This can be increased by adding products worth Robux, up to 80-100% with high-value ones.
- The player can only store one of each type of fruit, unless they purchase the +1 Fruit Storage product for
400. - The player cannot drop fruits after they've been stored in the inventory.
Trivia
- The soundtrack that plays while trading is Drip Fruits.
- The player only had four maximum trades before cooldown before Update 17 Part 2.
- As of Update 17.3, players are allowed to store permanent fruits in order to trade them.
- Permanent Fruits are often traded for very high value fruits due to the fact that they cost Robux
. - Permanent Fruits have 100% value difference but some product's have 50% - 100%. (Like exp boosts).
- On multiple trading chair/table legs, there will be words on them saying, "Chad is the king of Blox Fruits." This is most likely another funny Easter Egg. Same goes for the Chess tables in the Second Sea and the Third Sea.
- If the player has a gamepass up for trade, it is recommended to trade it in the Third Sea if the player has access to that sea. This is because most players there have better fruits for trade due to rolling fruits for a longer time or more success in the number of Factory raids or Pirate Raid.
- If the player received a permanent fruit from a trade it doesn't go in their inventory but instantly activates (doesn't swap their current fruit).
- Some scammers/exploiters abuse bugs or cheat during trades in order to scam their victims of high-value-fruits. A common method is to freeze the trade GUI (commonly called "Freeze Trade") and making the victim unable to jump, preventing them from cancelling the trade. Another common method is "Auto Accept", which forces the victim to accept a trade automatically.
