Swords are one of the four main ways to deal damage in the game, along with Blox Fruits, Fighting Styles, and Guns.
Swords are a weapon classification of up-close-and-personal melee weapons that can be found and bought everywhere in the Blox Fruits universe. Most of these weapons have a focus on precise, close-ranged moves. All swords have two unique abilities, and some swords have imbued or skills that originate from their Blox Fruit counterpart (or from somewhere else).
All swords can also be upgraded via the Blacksmith NPC and enchanted via the Dragon Talon Sage NPC to deal extra damage and to gain unique abilities relative to the enchantments.
Obtainment
There are several ways of obtaining swords, including:
- Buying swords from NPCs.
- Drops from bosses.
- Completing puzzles and tasks, although these are usually boss drops as well.
- In the case of Dark Blade, players can obtain the Game Pass by purchasing it with Robux , receiving it as a gift, or trading for it.
List of Swords
There is a total of 39 swords in the game:
Rarity | Amount | Description |
---|---|---|
Common | The weakest and cheapest swords usually used by low level players. | |
Uncommon | Still weak, but slightly better than common swords. Only one of them is recommended for PvP, which is Twin Hooks. | |
Rare | Decent, but still not as good as higher tier swords. Some of them are considered as very good swords. | |
Legendary | These swords are strong and are usually effective for both grinding and PvP. Most of them are popular amongst players for PvP. | |
Mythical | These swords are the rarest and are considered as the best swords in most cases, such as in PvP. |
Notes
- All swords and their abilities cannot harm Chop users due to their passive immunity to swords, even by using Aura. However, certain sword abilities will still be able to stun-lock Chop users.
- Koko is the only sword which is buffed by a fruit other than Buddha, and that fruit is Control.
- When the user is in Control Area, Koko's range and AoE output are significantly increased.
- In their transformations, Buddha can increase the size of the sword and the AoE of its M1 output of fighting styles or swords.
- Some sword abilities may not be affected by transformation. (e.g. Midnight Blade)
- The M1 damage is slightly reduced by Buddha's transformation, but due to the defense buff of Buddha and increased AoE, this is not a significant issue.
- When Aura is active while using certain higher rarity swords, they will emanate a glowing aura, as seen with the Cursed Dual Katana.
- Many swords have Destructible Physics, similar to many other Guns, Fruits, and Fighting Styles.
- Some swords have level prerequisites (e.g. Tushita requires the player to be Lv. 2000+)
- Swords at higher rarities, especially Mythical and Legendary tend to have higher raw damage than fruits (both M1's and skills), presumably to make up for their fewer skills and inferior mobility.
- If the player is playing on console, swords will appear in their hotbar by name.
