Spider grants the user the ability to control and manipulate strings, similar to a spider’s web. The user can swing through the air, slash enemies with sharp strings, summon spiky silk, and throw fiery strings that damage opponents.
Spider is widely recognized for its good potential in PvP but it requires exceptional skill.
Grinding: Spider is less effective for grinding due to its lack of Elemental Reflex and the difficulty of landing its moves. But when awakened, it becomes decent for grinding, due to all moves being multi-target with large hitboxes.
PvP: When awakened, Spider excels in PvP because of its powerful stuns, high damage, and large hitboxes. However, maximizing its potential requires a relatively skilled player. Additionally, its awakened [F] Spider Highway can serve as great mobility for Sword Mains.

Most moves have tiny hitboxes, making it very hard to hit in PvP (The exception being Ultimate Thread; however, players will likely be punished for missing due to its huge end-lag).
Compared to other fruits, unawakened Spider does not perform well in air fights.

The damage needed to perform combos is largely reliant on the V move, making it quite weak in terms of sustaining damage.

Move is aimed based on where the user's avatar faces, not their cursor position, unlike most abilities, therefore it may be harder to use.
[F] Spider Highway
Short range.
Because of the cooldown and range, the user would decrease energy fast if they do not have a good amount of energy, especially if the user wants to move from one island to another.
Swan has a unique move, the move being Multi-directional Silk.
With that, Don Swan has another version aside from the awakened and unawakened version of Spider. However, this version is only available in the second stage. It is an improved Spider [V] and [X], the [V] is a triple version of the unawakened [V], tripling the range, AoE and damage in the process, and the [X] shoots more Multi-String Attacks in an X pattern. However, due to this version being only available to a boss, it is impossible to find out whether there are any other differences.
Despite it being called "Spider", it is not a Beast type fruit because it allows players to control strings rather than transform into a spider.
Spider is the second fruit that has a Beast themed Natural type fruit, the first one being Venom.
The current unawakened [F] Spider Path is actually the pre-rework awakened String's [F] Spider Highway.
Every awakened move of Spider can be held to deal more damage, but that does not mean it can be held indefinitely.
Many consider Spider's [C] Over-heated Sniper move to be better than the awakened version because of its range, Instinct break, and damage.
Spider has the biggest fruit model.
Spider's [Z] Spider Wraith uses the same sound effect as Cyborg V4's Energy Control Super Jump.
Spider's [C] Over-heated Sniper has a longer lasting tripwire effect than Buddy Sword's [X] Lightning Wave.
Formerly, the title awarded upon awakening at least one move of this fruit was "The Joker". People that awakened this fruit prior to the title change will still be able to use it, but it is no longer obtainable.
