Hi there! If you're new to this wiki (or fandom) and plan on making an account, please check out our Rules page, for information on new accounts and some rules to follow.
Sound enables the user to control and manipulate sound, launching a barrage of musical notes to attack foes. When enhanced by the Tempo Meter, it allows the player and their allies to gain buffs, strengthening them in the process.
Sound is a very versatile fruit and is a good choice for many activities. It is recognized for dealing AoE damage on every move (excluding the [F] move) and is widely considered as a good choice for both grinding and PvP in medium to late stages such as the second half of the Second Sea, or Third Sea, as well as Sea Beast hunting, as it can provide both a high damage output and valuable support when allied with a group of players. Sound is also a good fruit for raids because of the large AoE and high damage on all moves, and supports allied players with the Tempo Meter.
All moves that are used while in the golden mode, turn gold.
The Tempo Meter can be filled by either holding [F] Tempo: Prestissimo or hitting an enemy with Sound's abilities. The Tempo Meter decreases rapidly when a player is not dealing damage, and runs out after 10 seconds.
When the meter is maxed, the user and nearby allies gain a shield that reduces incoming damage by 15%, increases speed by 50%, and increases move damage by 10%.
The user shoots out three projectile notes on the first use horizontally, five on the second use horizontally, and five on the third use vertically at the location of the cursor. Projectiles explode and deal damage to enemies on impact.

The user generates a disco ball that fires lasers, which auto-aim at all nearby enemies at a large range. After that, the disco ball fires itself where the cursor is aimed and explodes on impact. Damage dealt to an enemy is reduced by about 15% each time the move hits them. But if enemies do not take any laser damage, they will take about 80% of the total skill damage from the disco ball.

Instinct Chart[]
Note: Even if the Tempo passive is activated, the ability to dodge moves remains the same.
Great in "crew wars" (PvP scenarios with teammates and an opponent team), as [F] Tempo: Prestissimo also buffs nearby allies while providing decent mobility, especially in air.
It is not guaranteed to deal full damage because of the certain distance between each projectile.
Players can easily predict when the player will spam the move, making it less viable for PvP.
[X] Fortissimo
Small range.
Decent end-lag.
[C] Symphonic Radiance
No stun, making it easy to escape.
Damage dealt to an enemy using this move is dramatically reduced if it hits them multiple times in one use.
Beams from this move shoot randomly and does not stack on one player.
[V] Glorious Harmony
Decent end-lag.
Small attraction range.
Final projectile has long startup.
[F] Tempo: Prestissimo
The flight is slow before getting max Tempo Meter.
Needs a long time to get faster flight.

Trivia[]
Sound is the first fan-made fruit to be added to the game. The original concept was created by @Aqu4G (on X/Twitter), one of the winners of the first fan fruit/art contest. The second is the Kitsune fruit.
Many of Sound's moves contain musical vocabulary, such as Tempo (rate of speed of music played), Prestissimo (very fast) or Fortissimo (very loud).
While using [F] Tempo: Prestissimo, the user can fly faster (or even faster with the Tempo Meter activated) when their health is low, but not as fast as Venom (it also has the same flight mechanic). Blade also shares this mechanic though, it is less noticable
Sound now allows for the newest, highest potential speed for a player in the game, by combining the following: Maximum Tempo Meter + Rabbit V4 (and Agility) + Pilot Helmet. However, this is still not the fastest transportation method, as Portal has the ability to instantly teleport to most islands in any sea.
Sound is the second least expensive fruit to have a meter, but also a variable meter.
