The user always had a Soul counter on their screen. Souls could be collected using the Z move on enemies, or by killing someone with any soul skill. It could then be used to summon Buddies. The maximum amount of Souls was 9. Following the revamp, you could collect a maximum of 2 souls at any given time when using the Z move on multiple NPCs/players.
The Calm and Fury mode were 2 unique features of the Soul Fruit. Soul counter would be shown above the Soul fruit UI that would indicate what mode you were currently in.

The user would always have 2 certain Buddies around them, the Sun and Cloud.
When the Calm meter reaches its maximum, The sun will have a softer light, the cloud will float lightly and be white. When The Soul counter reaches half, The sun will become brighter, the cloud will darken, and there will be purple lightning. When the Fury meter reaches its maximum, The sun will be brighter and looks more serious, The cloud will be dark purple, and lightning rods will appear.
The user could use souls by left-clicking anywhere on the ground which would randomly summon one out of three Buddies:

Soul Snatcher 1 Mastery

Wrath of Ra 150 Mastery | |
Outraged Raijin 250 Mastery
End of Times 350 Mastery
Sky Ruler 75 Mastery | |
Overview[]
Every Move was an AoE skill, making it a decent fruit to grind with if the user able to manage the knockback. |
Both X and C have DoT [burning and shock], which made it easy to waste away another player's Instinct Dodges in PVP. |
Extremely high damage. |
Extremely versatile. With the help of the buddies, the user was able to use every perk that the game had to offer; stun, healing, DoT, AoE, and knockback. |
Sky Ruler was a relatively fast-paced flight. It was somewhere in between Dragon and Phoenix (base form). |
The Buddies could not be harmed but they would vanish after a few seconds. The range of their perks was also not affected by the players' distance from them; if you had a healing plant, even if you were far away, it would still heal the user. |
C made the player's target disabled, similar to Acidium Rifle's [X] move, which made skills easier to hit. |
The Candy Soul had an infinite range. It could heal you even if you were very far from it. |
Extremely High Mastery requirements for all moves, tied with Control and Dragon at 350 mastery. (It would not be recommended if your level was lower than 800) |
Moves were considered to be relatively slow. |
Buddies were random. You could not choose which Buddy you wanted to get. |
Buddies were useless in Sea Beast Raids, however since all moves are AoE, this was more of a minor inconvenience. |
Moves had a long cooldown, but players could pair this fruit with accessories with cooldown reductions such as Swan Glasses, Choppa Hat and Zebra Cap to counter this. |
Toxic Flower was bad in PvP, since no one was going to stay inside the fog, and Cursed Tree could be easily avoided by air camping or dashing. |
The range of Z and C was relatively short, which forced the player to PVP at close quarters. |
Soul Snatcher (Z move) had endlag. |
End of Times (V move) could make you vulnerable if missed. |
Was bad against teamers. (But depends on performance, skill, and build) |
Wrath of Ra (X move) had a visual bug that made it slightly hard to land from afar. But it was easier to use when aiming under your avatar. |
Soul's damage could be unpredictable at times, due to certain parts of moves not hitting such as C's thunderbolts and X's fireballs. |
Trivia[]
