The Sharkman Master is an NPC in the Third Sea that allows players to upgrade their Sharkman Karate fighting style.
Location[]
The Sharkman Master is located inside the Sealed Cavern, which is near the Coral Pirates, behind a house.
Upgrading[]
The player first needs to reach Lv. 2200+ to be able to begin playing with The Sharkman Master. The player must then defeat The Sharkman Master in Fish Fights in order to obtain headbands ranging from white to black, which will allow them to upgrade one of the moves of Sharkman Karate depending on the headband the player currently has. However, if the player fails the fish fight, they will have to wait for a maximum of 40 minutes to try again.
To upgrade every move of Sharkman Karate, the player must have:
- 500+ Mastery on Sharkman Karate
- Completed a certain amount of Slap Battles
- Headband (Yellow) and
2,000 for [Z] Twelve Water Palms - Headband (Blue) and
3,000 for [X] Pressure Vortex - Headband (Black) and 5,000 for [C] Great Sea Spear
Training Tips[]
- In PC, using the spacebar instead of the LMB is recommended due to lower delay.
- A better way to gain critical hits is by holding M1 and releasing when it hits the green bar.
- Training on a server having better ping is recommended in order to lower latency (delay between input and output).
- Practicing with other players or with the headbands is recommended before tackling the Headband (Black) due to it requiring nearly a 100% critical hit and perfect dodge rate. (Though with a perfect critical hit rate, you would only need one perfect dodge)
Upgrades Changes[]
- The first upgrade allows the user to shoot out a shark as a follow up to the original Z, which will always hit.
- The second upgrade allows the user to displace and drag the trap bubble of X by holding the move. (Moves according to cursor/finger position)
- The third upgrade allows the user to unleash C on multiple enemies instead of just one. If hit, it grants the user a temporary 35% defense buff shown by a stripe revolving around them.

- The Sharkman Master is the second NPC to be able to upgrade a V2 fighting style, with the first being Uzoth.
