For the in-game events, see Events.
Sea Events are mini-events that can happen in Second Sea and Third Sea while traveling on a boat.
List of Sea Events[]
Second Sea[]
Third Sea[]
- Shark
- Ship Raid
- Sea Beast
- Rough Sea
- Haunted Ship Raid
- Piranha
- Treasure Island
- Rumbling Waters
- Terrorshark
- Haunted Shipwreck
- Kitsune Island
- Prehistoric Island
- Frozen Dimension
- Mirage Island
Notes[]
- All Sea Events (excluding Kitsune Island from Blue Moon) can spawn during day and night.
- Aura and Instinct do not affect the chances of Sea Events appearing.
- Sea Events occur as long as there is a ship nearby.
- The player's ship does not have to be moving for a Sea Event to occur.
- When the player's boat gets destroyed, Ship Raids, Haunted Ship Raids and Ghost Ship Raids will immediately sink and despawn, but the others enemies will not.
- Most enemies are immune to M1 or have reduced damage caused by M1.
Second Sea[]
- It is not recommended to farm Sea Events in the Second Sea, due to the lack of event variety and the low spawn rate.
- Sea Events do count for the Abyss Tamer and Nautical Bane titles.
- Sea Events do not drop any Valor
. - The player is not required to sit on the driver seat of a boat to trigger a Sea Event.
Third Sea[]
- Sea Events from Second Sea (Ship Raids and Sea Beasts) can also occur in Third Sea. However, they will have an increased spike in difficulty.
- Most of the Sea Events require the boat to be in a Sea Danger Level 1-6.
- Mirage Island is part of the Race Awakening puzzle/quest.
- When there are multiple Piranhas or Sharks, killing them will still count as one Sea Event. (e.g. If five sharks spawn and the player kills them all, it will still count as one Sea Event)
- There is a chance that multiple Terrorsharks can spawn in quick succession.
- The player does not need to sit on the driver seat of a boat to trigger the Sea Event in the Third Sea. However, in that case, it will not trigger any island Sea Events, including: Mirage Island, Haunted Shipwreck, Kitsune Island, Treasure Island, and Prehistoric Island.
Tips[]
- There is a fairly obscure glitch for Portal users, if they encounter a Sea Event and enter the [V] Dimensional Rift (if in a Sea Exploration Group, everyone must enter) and then exit. Instantly all the Sea Events the player is facing disappear. This is a pretty good glitch to avoid unpleasant Sea Events like Rough Sea and Terrorsharks.
- Another bug that can be used is to have someone let the player enter [V] Dimensional Rift and then immediately quit the game, leading to players being able to turn off fog. Helps effectively clarify vision.
- Additionally, if a player is sitting/driving the boat and enters [V] Dimensional Rift, the boat will also enter the rift, if the player driving/sitting on the boat exits the rift while in the said action there is a bug that let's the player get teleported high above the ground. If the players are not sitting/driving the boat when they leave the rift, the boat will disappear causing players to buy another boat. To avoid this bug everyone must enter the [V] Dimensional Rift without sitting on the boat.
- There is also a bug with Dragon and Kitsune, Which if the player enters the seat the same time as they mount the boat will glitch and the boat will start riding the fruit that the player mounted onto.
- It is recommended to use Venom, Magma, Ice, Yeti, Gas or awakened Buddha for farming Sea Events since they have the water walk ability or are immune to sea damage. Mammoth or Blizzard are also decent choices as holding the [F] moves can do a lot of damage. The player can also use Spider or Spirit due to their high damage, or Phoenix due to its flight, and healing ability. Pain is also a really good due to it's high damage and Last stand ability.
- Shark race (V2 or above) is recommended as it gives the user immunity to water damage.
- It is not advised to use boats that have less than 2000 hp, as they are weak and can be easily destroyed by most Sea Events.
- It is recommended to hunt Sea Beasts/Rumbling Waters with one or more other player(s) as it is easier to defeat Sea Beasts as a group.
- It is not recommended to look for Mirage Island in Sea Danger Level 6 as it is almost impossible to see anything with the distorted and darkened vision.
- To prevent a Sea Event from cutting the player's trip to Kitsune Island short, they can park their boat right at the edge of danger level 6, then wait near a rock nearby. The player must be far away enough that they don't see the boat's health. If the player uses Buddha, Ice, the Shark Race, or anything similar that makes the user immune to water and lets the user stand on it, the player can wait with no rocks around.
- It is recommended to have at least one player with the Shipwright subclass to repair Boats during Sea Event hunts. (For big group, must have at least a few or more players with the Shipwright subclass due to the limit of Wooden Plank since one player can use only 99 times as a maximum and Sea Event spawn rate is increase because of amount of players)
- While fighting Terrorsharks, to avoid triggering another Sea Event the player should move away from the boat until they do not see the Sea Danger Level to avoid losing progress.
Trivia[]
- Some Sea Events can spawn with another Sea Events, but this is very rare. For example, Mirage Island with a Rumbling Waters and a Terrorshark, making it a heavily guarded Island.
- After the players' boat gets destroyed whilst exploring danger levels, the meter for it will be gone, unless another boat is nearby.
- Though very rare, Sea Events such as Sharks can spawn in Sea Danger Level 0 outside of Tiki Outpost.
