Rengoku is a Legendary sword.

Obtainment

Rengoku can be obtained by using the Hidden Key at the Ice Castle, in Second Sea. Upon acquiring the key, the player can use it to unlock a chest containing Rengoku, which is located inside a secret room hidden under the stairs, located below the Awakened Ice Admiral, which can be entered by the right side of the stairs.

The "Samurai" title #128 will be granted upon equipping Rengoku.

The following results are tested on NPCs. The variables that were used to test include: Full Body Aura, 600 mastery, 2550 points on Sword Stats, Grade 1 (+8% Damage) and no accessories. The results are for reference only, there is no guarantee that all of them are 100% correct.

Pros
General Extremely high damage. Good combo potential. Good knockback, which is useful in PvP. Both moves break Instinct. Insane damage in short duration, making Shark and Cyborg users take a lot of damage before they can turn on their Race ability.
[Z] Demon Slayer Dash is very fast. Almost no endlag. Can target multiple players. Damage is still dealt as long as the target has been caught in the dash (Unless "Instinct-Tricked"). Deals damage over time. Good range. Can stun Chop users along with Saddi.
[X] Burning Slash The flames break Instinct. Breaks instinct on direct contact. Amazing AoE when held. No end-lag.

Cons
General Cannot damage Chop users. Low drop chance for the Hidden Key. Bad for in-water combat. Can be annoying when grinding because of the dash on the fourth slash. High mastery requirements.
[Z] Demon Slayer Single target.
[X] Burning Slash The flame trail can be dodged easily if not stunned. This move, along with its 2 variations, does not have any AoE burn when used aerially, making it significantly harder to hit (the tap variation works similarly and has a similar hitbox to awakened Dark's [Z] move, the held variation works the same, just vertically).

Trivia

• When aura is applied to Rengoku, the swirling black aura will always have a red outline even if a different Color is equipped.
• This sword was actually an easter egg that the devs added at Update 13.
• While using Buddha, the aura of Rengoku becomes very slim.
• The M1 includes three slices and one lunge.
• The swords Yama and Tushita look similar to this sword.
• Before the rework, [Z] Demon Slayer did not do burn damage like [X] Burning Slash.
• After the swords rework in Update 20, this sword movesets became very similar to the Pipe.
