Preparation[]

This section contains general information and important things to note before getting into PvP.

  • PvP, or Player versus Player, is the term used to describe battles/fights between real players.
  • PvP on PC is generally considered easier, as well as having a higher skill ceiling. Though it is not mandatory, using PC for PvP is highly recommended.
  • It is recommended to only PvP after your main damage and defense Stats are MAX level and have at least 600 points into Melee, as the player will have the most stat points in damage and defense and deal the most damage and have enough stamina as a result, as well as having more Health. However, this is not mandatory. If the player is still grinding for getting Defense and Main Damage MAX Level and Melee at Level 600, the Leveling Guide is recommended.
  • If the player has always been a Buddha user, it is recommended that they practice using moves before getting into PvP, and not only use [M1] attacks. This will force you to also practice aiming moves, which is crucial in PvP in order to land hits and damage opponents.
  • In the Blox Fruits community, especially the PvP community, different stat distributions are given different names. It is recommended to max out Melee and Defense, as they give the player Energy and Health respectively. The player can decide on what to put the rest of their stat points on, but it is recommended to focus on one stat, such as Sword or Blox Fruits. Those who put stat points on Sword are called Sword Mains, and those who put them on Blox Fruit are called Fruit Mains and so on. Those without a specific stat distribution are called Hybrid. Hybrid is only recommended when at an advanced level due to needing more skill to pull off a successful hybrid build.
    • Gun Main (putting all stats points on Gun) is unrecommended for beginners, as it requires good aim and prediction.
  • Most Blox Fruits work best when awakened, so it is highly recommended to verify if the player's fruit can be awakened or not.
    • Dough is a perfect example of this, being somewhat a bad fruit when unawakened, and one of the best when awakened.
  • As most players use maxed aura and continuously move around, it is important to note that the damage output stated on wiki pages or achieved on Enemies can vary greatly from that achieved on players. For example, Kitsune C's damage can be as much as 6k, however, it is unlikely that the player will achieve this whilst PvPing with players, because they may negate some damage due to damage reduction and movement, and as a result the user's damage can be as low as 3k.
  • It is always best to max out Race to V3 or V4, although other players will probably call the user a coward or making the fight "unfair" if used in a 1v1. Instinct V2 (and max dodges, if the player doesn't want to grind then they can use the Human race to gain more instinct dodges and the Pale Scarf or Kitsune Mask), and Aura to all body parts, of course, The player is not required to do so, if not then 7 times out of 10 the player will be on the losing side of a fight (assuming they are not using an overpowered fruit, such as Dragon) are also recommended in PvP.
  • If the device the player uses is mobile, it is recommended that they should practice swiftly switching between items in the hotbar. If the player is not switching fast enough that could easily mess up combos. Someone could break out of the combo and use their own combo. If the player is feeling like they do not know if they can switch fast enough, they should try the Training Dummy at the Hydra Island or a friend at the Friendly Arena and/or Colosseum at the Kingdom of Rose or the First Sea.
  • Air PvP is currently the norm in most competitive PvP scenarios, such as in so-called "crew wars". It is recommended that you practice air PvP as well.

Tips & Information[]

Beginner Tips[]

This section contains the necessary information to help beginners get started with PvP. However, some tips here may not be helpful for players with higher skill levels who need more advanced tips.

  • If the player is starting out PvP and do not have good Blox Fruits and items, they can replace certain items with certain other ones that are easily obtainable. For example, Godhuman can be replaced with Superhuman.
  • It is extremely recommended to have Aura activated at all times during PvP, as it not only provides offensive and defensive buffs, but also allows the player to damage Elemental fruit users.
    • This also applies to Instinct. However, the player must not develop a habit of having Instinct on at all times, as they will need to not do this once they reach higher skill levels in order to learn Instinct tricking.
  • In PvP, Blox Fruits that excel in stun, speed and damage (knockback as well, but not as important) are recommended. This is because PvP will almost always be 1v1 situations, unlike PvE. On top of that, opponents will always be smarter than bosses and enemies, so fruits with fast moves are recommended.
  • In PvP, combos are crucial to defeat opponents rapidly. In short, comboing is the action of chaining attacks together to make it so that the player is dealing damage without letting the opponent escape or fight back.
  • Continuously dashing is very recommended in PvP if the player has maxed out their Melee stats, as it allows them to increase movement speed for basically free (Energy will not be a problem when the player has MAX Melee stats), and as a result, dodge incoming attacks and make opponents have a hard time landing hits.
    • opponents will most likely also do this, thus the player will need to learn to predict movement and aim at the right place to land hits while the opponent is dashing.
  • The more Bounty/Honor a player has, the more damage and defense they will have. It is important enough to decide the outcome of a battle.
  • It is recommended to PvP as a Pirate, as Pirates gain more Bounty per kill than Marines.
  • The best locations to PvP are right in front of Mansion (Third Sea) at Floating Turtle, behind the central castle of Castle on the Sea, and Kingdom of Rose according to most people. Fighting outside of these areas are unrecommended, especially when over the sea, as if the player a Blox Fruit user, their opponent may drag the player into the water and the player may drown if they are not using the Shark race or Leviathan Shield.
  • Buddha is a controversial fruit for PvP. It is good if the opponent does not know how to counter it. However, it is not great for Bounty hunting, due to the Suspicious Kill system often misidentifying Buddha users' kills as Suspicious Kills. Because most people know how to counter Buddha users, it is recommended to not use it.
    • To counter Buddha, staying far away from the user and spamming long ranged moves (preferably stun moves) whilst keeping Instinct on is advised. However, you should try your best not to get your Instinct broken or you can also use Ice V2 preferably with Cyborg v3
  • Beast-type Blox Fruits may not be recommended for beginners, as despite them being easy to use, transforming with them will often render the user unable to use fighting styles, guns and swords, and eventually it may cause the user to lack skills in using weapons other than their fruit.
  • Bounty/Honor should not be used to judge a player's skill level, it should only be used for reference as some players gain bounty by killing exploiters.
  • It is recommended that the player has a good device and a good network. ping should be below 150 to have a smooth gameplay.
    • The player should also choose a region close to their location in order to minimize ping. For example, if the player lives in Asia, they should choose a server located in Singapore to have the lowest and most stable ping possible.
  • Sometimes, moves that provide mobility (ex: Cursed Dual Katana's [X] move) are faster than regular dash-running, which can be especially useful when chasing runners, or when running away yourself.
    • This also applies to countering skycampers, or to skycamp yourself, as Air Jumps are far slower.
  • The player can use mid-fight moves when all of main combo moves are on cooldown. Usually, these types of moves do not have lots of stun yet excel in range. Some examples include Skull Guitar [M1] and [Z], Godhuman [X] (tap), Dough V2 [Z], Ice [X], etc. Mid-fight moves can also be used as combo finishers.
  • Randomly using moves is very common in beginners. The player should not spam moves randomly without even aiming at the enemy. It will simply waste your moves, and when you need them, they will be on cooldown.
  • Know the opponent. If they enjoy comboing, try to counter that by playing defensively and surprise attack them when their moves are on cooldown. If the opponent skycamps, try using long-range AoE moves.

Intermediate Tips[]

This section provides information intended to assist intermediate players in reaching higher skill levels. Some tips may not apply to players who already possess advanced experience.

  • Instinct Tricking (also known as Ken Tricking) is a crucial technique for effective PvP. It involves deactivating Instinct before an Instinct-breaking move connects (e.g., Ice V2 [V]), then reactivating it before a non-breaking move (e.g. Ice V2 [Z]) hits. Certain moves, such as Godhuman [Z], break Instinct at specific points—only the first tick of damage breaks Instinct, while the remaining hits do not. Players can re-enable Instinct after the initial tick to avoid full damage.
    • To use Instinct Tricking effectively, precise timing with Flash Step is necessary. Once the opponent’s move ends, the user will not be stunned and can immediately Flash Step out of danger.
    • If Instinct is active while charging a move, it will break even if the dodge count is not depleted. To avoid having Instinct broken, it is advised not to keep it on constantly. Activating it only to evade specific moves that can be tricked is more effective.
    • To counter an opponent’s Instinct Tricking, using Energy Core or Cyborg V4’s Aftershock can disrupt their attempts.
  • Bounty/Honor provides stat bonuses for both defense and attack, making it important for PvP. Accumulating higher Bounty/Honor is encouraged, as even a 1% increase in defense can be decisive. Sword mains have an advantage in Bounty farming due to the ability to server hop and use Portal to target players quickly. Fruit mains can follow the same strategy but must switch fruits after teleporting, as Portal is less effective in combat when used as a main fruit.
  • While targeting grinding players or kill-stealing is not recommended for improving PvP skills, it is a common tactic and should be expected. Opponents who engage in this behavior often retreat if unsuccessful, so countering them with fast fruits (e.g. Kitsune, Light) or using Portal to escape is advised.
  • During Bounty hunts, retreating or activating Race V4 when at low health is common. While controversial, it is often a necessary survival tactic.
  • Mixing up movement—such as alternating dash directions or adding Air Jumps—is advised. Predictable patterns can be exploited by opponents.
    • Rabbit can aid mobility, though it offers no direct defense. Ghoul is an alternative, providing a balance of speed and survivability.
    • Flash Step is useful both for initiating surprise combos (e.g., before using Ice [V]) and escaping them.
  • While spamming moves is generally discouraged due to risk and cooldown waste, it may be effective with fruits that have quick, easy-to-land moves and low cooldowns, such as Dough, Kitsune or Portal.
  • Most players prioritize Bounty over Honor. As a result, Marine players may hide their actual Pirate Bounty. Caution is advised when fighting unknown opponents on the Marine team.
  • By this stage, players are encouraged to develop their own combos, ensuring they:
    • Stun until the combo ends,
    • Deal significant damage,
    • Prevent Instinct Tricking.
  • Ideally, combos should be one-shots, but this is not mandatory.
  • PvP scenarios involving three or more players are generally discouraged, as they significantly increase the risk of being eliminated.

Advanced Tips[]

This section is intended for highly experienced players looking to refine their skills to the maximum level. These strategies are unlikely to benefit less experienced players.

  • Endlag refers to the frames of vulnerability after a move, while Startup (or Startlag) refers to the delay before a move activates. Endlag is typically longer than Startup. For example, Ice [V] leaves the user unable to dash or jump during its Endlag.
    • It is advantageous to punish opponents during either Endlag or Startup, as their movement is limited. Players should avoid spamming high-Endlag or Startup moves, as missing them can lead to punishment or death.
  • Memorizing knockback trajectories of moves is essential. This helps determine follow-up attacks for combos. For example:
  • Familiarity with counters to commonly used abilities can be game-changing. For instance, Ice can be countered by sky camping, which makes its [V] move less effective. (See also: Counters).
  • If an opponent is charging a move, it can sometimes be canceled by using Flash Step to get close and interrupting it with an attack or a ranged move like Skull Guitar [Z].
  • Terrain can influence fight outcomes, though battles typically occur in flat areas. However, awareness of uneven terrain or bugged zones (e.g., Hydra Island) is still useful.
  • Players holding the high ground tend to have an advantage, as it is easier to land and dodge attacks. This is one reason why sky camping is common.
  • Deliberately retreating to lure opponents into a trap is a viable tactic. Once they pursue, players can reverse the momentum with a surprise combo.
  • At this level, race selection becomes more strategic:
    • Shark is not recommended due to nerfs in Update 20 and dependency on combos.
    • Angel is viable regardless of skill level due to its strong Race Awakening.
    • Ghoul is ideal for aggressive playstyles, enabling longer or combo-less attacks.
    • Rabbit offers overwhelming speed and pairs well with close-range weapons (e.g., Gravity Cane, Dragon Trident).
    • Human suits comeback-focused playstyles.
    • Cyborg enables unescapable combos and can interrupt certain moves (e.g., Dough [V]).
  • Weapon and fruit variety is important. Players should keep multiple swords, guns, and Blox Fruits to adapt to different strategies.
  • Enchantments become critical in high-level PvP. Some, such as Unbreakable, allow players to begin combos while recovering from stuns.
    • Despite being a curse, Curse of the Thief is considered the worst enchantment for PvP. It offers no combat benefit and may even draw unwanted attention from NPC enemies.
  • Transformed Buddha users have a distorted hitbox, which may cause certain close-range moves to miss, even when aimed correctly.
  • Blade is immune to all sword attacks, making it effective for non-Fruit Mains. However, relying on Instinct Tricking is generally more consistent than using Blade for defense.

"Competitive" Tips[]

This section contains tips that can be helpful to players that play in "competitive" settings, such as "crew wars".

  • Sound is a top-tier fruit in crew war settings, as its [F] Tempo: Prestissimo provides great mobility in air while significantly buffing the player and their teammate(s).
  • There is a glitch with the Skull Guitar where the player is able to dash further by jumping, dashing and using Skull Guitar's [TAP] Undead Notes at the same time. It is even further enhanced with ragdoll, dash-boosting accessories and Kitsune, making this glitch extremely overpowered for mobility.
  • Ragdolling is something that may happen when you flick certain mobility moves upwards. Being ragdolled allows you to keep the velocity you gain, until your ragdoll is over, making stuff like the Skull Guitar boost insanely fast.[1]

Builds[]

Races[]

Evolving a race to at least V3—preferably V4—should be prioritized, as doing so grants abilities that can be vital in combat. This section serves as a guide to assist players in choosing which race to use.

Race Description
Human is primarily used for offensive purposes, as both its V3 ability and one of its V4 abilities provide significant damage boosts. In addition to increased damage, the Human race also enhances movement speed, Flash Step, and Instinct dodges. However, it is generally not recommended for beginners due to its lack of defensive buffs, which can make the user more vulnerable in combat.

For V4 gear progression, it is recommended to upgrade Limit Break first, ideally to Tier 2, as it increases the race’s offensive potential further. But if you want do a combo which have skill you need to hold, it is recommended to upgrade Psycho to tier two because it can make your skills uncancellable, making it extremely useful against anything with tick damage.

Players using the Human race are advised to pair it with high-damage Blox Fruits or powerful swords (if playing as a Sword Main) to maximize damage output. Caution is advised, as the Human race does not offer strong defensive abilities. The V3 ability should not be activated intentionally by taking damage, as it costs a portion of the user's health. However, if the user is already low on health and is about to begin a combo, activating the V3 ability may provide up to approximately a 50% damage increase, which could turn the tide of a fight.

Rabbit is primarily chosen for its movement enhancements, as nearly all of its abilities focus on increasing speed or improving dash performance. While Rabbit may be viable for beginners, there are generally more versatile races available.

For V4 gear progression, Lightning Cloak is recommended to be upgraded first, preferably to Tier 2, as it further enhances the race’s dash capabilities.

When using the Rabbit race, players should take advantage of its high mobility to avoid being hit, frequently changing directions to make it more difficult for opponents to land attacks. However, if caught in a combo, the user may suffer significant damage due to the race's lack of defensive buffs. With the V4 gear Whirlwind, dash spamming becomes even more effective, as it can temporarily trap and stun enemies while inflicting slight additional damage.

Although Rabbit can be an extremely powerful race when used effectively, it is not recommended for newer players, as its speed-focused playstyle may be difficult to control.

Shark is mainly chosen for its defensive capabilities, as most of its abilities are centered around damage reduction and survivability. Upon evolving the race to V2, the user becomes immune to water damage. At V3, the Water Body ability becomes available, significantly reducing incoming damage while active. Shark is often considered an excellent option for beginners due to its forgiving nature in PvP. However, it may not be ideal for intermediate or advanced players, as reliance on its defensive abilities can hinder the development of skills such as Instinct Tricking.

For V4 gear progression, Leviathan’s Armor is recommended to be upgraded first, ideally to Tier 2, as it further boosts the race’s defensive potential.

When playing as a Shark, it is advised to adopt a more aggressive playstyle. The race's damage mitigation allows users to take more risks without suffering severe punishment from enemy combos. The V4 gear Whirlpool can also be effective for countering evasive opponents, as it slows down enemy movement—especially when upgraded to Tier 2. However, most players generally prefer Leviathan’s Armor for its overall utility, though the choice between the two depends on personal playstyle.

Angel is primarily valued for its ability to sustain longer fights through healing and defensive buffs. At V3, the race provides a strong defensive ability that also restores health, allowing users to endure extended engagements. Upon reaching V4, Angel becomes significantly more powerful due to the King’s Rule ability, which can break enemy combos and inflict substantial damage during counterattacks. Angel V4 is considered more effective than even Cyborg V3 when it comes to disrupting combos. This race is also a suitable option for beginners who are unsure of which race to select, as it offers a balanced mix of offense and defense.

For V4 gear progression, King’s Rule is recommended to be upgraded first, ideally to Tier 2, to maximize its utility in interrupting enemies and enhancing combo potential.

When playing as Angel, users with only V3 should take a slightly more offensive approach, as the defensive and healing effects from the V3 ability help mitigate punishment from mistakes. Upon awakening Angel to V4, players can adjust their playstyle freely, as its upgraded abilities allow for extra damage, status effects, and crowd control. Luring opponents into combos by faking a retreat—such as skycamping with Prince of the Skies—can also be an effective tactic.

Ghoul is primarily used by players seeking a balanced race with a mix of offense, mobility, and survivability. Its V2 passive allows the user to leech health by dealing damage with Fighting Styles, and its V3 ability enhances speed while providing minor buffs to both defense and damage. Upon awakening, Ghoul V4 further improves life leech capabilities and grants access to a Domain Expansion ability that deals continuous damage and applies debuffs to nearby enemies—similar in function to Angel's combo-breaking capabilities. Ghoul is a decent choice for beginners and an excellent option for intermediate to advanced players.

For V4 gear progression, Domain Expansion is recommended to be upgraded first, ideally to Tier 2, as it increases the domain's effectiveness by allowing dash spam to summon crows that automatically attack nearby enemies.

Players using Ghoul are advised to adopt an aggressive playstyle, as the race primarily enhances speed, damage, and cooldown reduction. The V3 ability is versatile and can be used both offensively to extend combos or defensively to reposition and escape pressure. However, due to its relatively long cooldown, it is recommended to use it strategically—mainly for speed or cooldown reduction—rather than defensively when caught in a combo, as its defensive buff is minimal.

When V4 is active, users should keep in mind that health is restored by dealing damage, making it more beneficial to stay in combat when low on health rather than retreating. Domain Expansion can also be effective against airborne opponents, as it affects those within range even while skycamping. With Tier 2 upgrades, dashing within the domain triggers crows to attack nearby enemies, which can quickly finish off opponents or apply additional pressure during combos.

Cyborg is a race used for both its offensive and defensive strengths. Its V3 ability provides buffs to both damage and defense, making it a well-rounded option in combat. Upon reaching V4, Cyborg gains additional enhancements to movement and the ability to break Instinct, making it highly effective against evasive or defensive opponents. Similar to Angel, Cyborg is considered a balanced race overall and is a strong pick for beginners, especially those who may struggle against teamers or with countering Instinct Tricking. The race’s ability to disrupt opponents' escape options through Instinct can significantly improve combo consistency.

For V4 gear progression, both gears—Aftershock and Energy Control—are considered equally viable, though situational. Energy Control is more effective in multi-opponent scenarios due to its AoE utility, while Aftershock excels in one-on-one fights by increasing pressure and combo potential.

Players using Cyborg should make use of the V3 ability to prevent Instinct Tricking. This is best done by activating the ability just before using a move that can typically be dodged with Instinct, ensuring the combo connects. This makes Cyborg particularly effective against experienced players who rely heavily on Instinct to avoid attacks.

Draco is an excellent race choice for nullifying combos and is considered one of the strongest in this regard, especially due to its powerful V4 abilities. Its V3 ability emits a roar that buffs the user and nearby allies by increasing speed and damage by 15%, while simultaneously debuffing the speed of nearby enemies. This ability also stuns nearby opponents for 0.05 seconds, which can be crucial for interrupting enemy combos and gaining strategic control in fights.

For V4 gears, both Thorn Mail and Cometic Field are strong options, and the best choice depends on the situation:

  • Thorn Mail is ideal for team fights and wars. When upgraded, it reflects approximately 63.7% of the damage received and increases the defense of nearby allies.
  • Cometic Field is better for standard 1v1 PvP scenarios. Its upgraded version enhances the explosive orbs’ damage (dealing around 3500 damage) and reduces the number of hits required to activate the orbs to just three, making it extremely potent in close-quarters combat.

If you are playing as Draco, it is recommended to use accessories that improve movement speed, such as the Pilot Helmet or Dino Hood, as Draco is naturally slower than most races. It is also important to practice using the V3 ability effectively—it will not always cancel enemy abilities unless timed properly. Like with Cyborg, activating the V3 ability just before using an Instinct Trick-able move can help ensure your combo connects.

Accessories[]

Accessories play a crucial role in PvP, as they provide significant stat boosts that can impact the outcome of a fight. The right accessory can enhance your mobility, increase your damage output, and improve your defense, giving you a notable advantage in battle. Below is a list of recommended accessories for PvP, most of which focus on boosting movement, durability, and overall damage.

Leviathan Shield
Dino Hood
Kitsune Ribbon
Pale Scarf
Swan Glasses
Hunter Cape
Pilot Helmet
  • Leviathan Shield can be useful for players who wish to have more defense and who wish to have an advantage when fighting in the Sea.
  • Dino Hood can be extremely useful for players to wish would have significant mobility with also gaining damage on their Blox Fruit and Melee. Additionally, it performs better than the Pilot Helmet in ground PvP.
  • Kitsune Ribbon can be useful for players who wish to have a balanced accessory that focus slightly on speed and Energy. It is also especially useful for Hybrid stats users. The Kitsune Ribbon's dash distance boost is also particularly useful for the Skull Guitar boosting glitch.
  • Pale Scarf can be useful for finding player locations when Bounty hunting. However, it performs badly in normal PvP.
  • Swan Glasses Provides damage and cooldown buffs on any attack while providing slight mobility and good defense. It works well with any build due to every buff being applied to all attacks.
  • Hunter Cape can be very useful for players who main swords or guns, and who wish to also have increased speed.
  • Pilot Helmet can be very useful for players who wish to have significantly increased speed, which is very important in PvP. Additionally, it performs better than the Dino Hood in air PvP. It also provides a health regeneration buff which increases survivability.

Fighting Styles[]

Fighting styles are crucial in PvP, mainly because most people will have MAX Stats on Melee, due to it buffing Energy as well. Choosing a good Fighting Style is the key to maximize your damage in combos, as well as to land hits when all of your other moves are on cooldown.

Godhuman
Sanguine Art
Electric Claw
Dragon Talon
Sharkman Karate
  • Godhuman is arguably the best Fighting Style for PvP, due to its amazing stuns, damage and combo potential. It is also a very versatile Fighting Style that works well with almost any build. The main difference between Godhuman and Sanguine Art is their [C] moves. Godhuman's [C] move is arguably better than that of Sanguine Art if you are skilled enough to aim properly, as it provides way better range and speed.
  • Sanguine Art can be a great replacement for Godhuman and may even be better than Godhuman in some situations, especially in air PvP. Sanguine Art's [Z] and [X] moves are very similar to Godhuman's [Z] and [X] (when tapped) moves. However, unlike Godhuman, it is easier with Sanguine Art to chain every move together, as Godhuman's [C] move could sometimes deal more knockback than wanted. It is also the fighting style that is the most compatible for air PvP.
  • Electric Claw is a great Fighting Style for PvP, mainly due to its stuns, damage and hard to Instinct trick moves. However, every move of Electric Claw is somewhat hard to land (except for the [C] move), so it is recommended to use them inside combos. Electric Claw can be great for advanced-expert players who wish to fight other advanced-expert players, as both players will know the principle of Instinct tricking.
  • Dragon Talon is a strong Fighting Style, known for its huge AoE, high damage, and disorienting screen effects. Its wide-range moves can catch evasive opponents and deal heavy burn damage, making it great for pressure. However, its slower speed leaves openings if mistimed. In skilled hands, its AoE dominance and burst potential make it a top-tier PvP choice.
  • Sharkman Karate is an excellent Fighting Style for PvP, valued for its fast moves, high accuracy, and strong combo potential. Its attacks are easy to land, deal solid damage, and break Instinct, making it great for aggressive players who like close combat. Unlike slower styles, Sharkman Karate’s speed and precision allow quick follow-ups and reliable combo extensions, making it a top choice for mid to high-level PvP players.

Blox Fruits[]

No matter your Stats distribution, Blox Fruits are always one of the best stun/damage providers. As a result, choosing the right Blox Fruit will heavily affect the outcome of battles.

Kitsune
Dough
Blizzard
Portal
Sound
Buddha
Ice
  • Kitsune is amazing for beginners up to competitive players. It offers a variety of moves that are easy to land and deal a lot of damage. On top of that, Kitsune has a transformed form that buffs damage and speed by a drastic amount. However, transformation is unrecommended, as it lacks the combo potential base kit has. Transforming also disables the ability of using fighting styles, swords and guns, possibly making the user rely on their Blox Fruit too much. Kitsune works best with Fruit Main. Using Kitsune, the user is able to use the Skull Guitar movement glitch to its maximum potential. When mastered, it will grant them insane mobility.
  • Dough is great for beginners who wish to learn the basics of PvP. It offers a variety of moves that have good range and deal a lot of damage. Dough becomes especially good when paired with good fighting styles, swords and guns, as the combos that they offer is limitless. However, when you move on to fighting more skilled players, you will begin to realize that they can Instinct Trick most of your moves so it is recommended to either switch to a different fruit or to use Cyborg V4 to break Instinct. Dough works best with Fruit Main, though Sword Main is still powerful.
  • Blizzard is a very solid fruit for both 1v1s and against teamers. The [V] pulls nearby enemies in and has a huge long lasting AOE that deals tick damage. Using this after a combo starter forces your enemy to take heavy damage even if they manage to escape. The [C] move is hard to react to and stuns the enemy for a long time. The [X] provides extra damage in combos and the [Z] move deals decent chip damage. The domain can also be used defensively which forces your enemy to take heavy damage if they attempt to combo you while inside the AOE. However, the fruit lacks horizontal mobility which makes it prone to runners.
  • Portal is a great fruit for intermediate players and above who wish to use a versatile Blox Fruit. Portal can serve as a life saver when facing teamers, third parties, or exploiters, as it allows the user to teleport anywhere they want. On top of those, Portal has a unique move called [V] Dimensional Rift, dragging all nearby enemies into a pocket dimension controlled by the Portal user, which opens up room for combos once the dimension closes. Additionally, the amazing mobility that it provides makes it one of the best fruits in air PvP if not the best. Portal is only good with Sword Main.
  • Sound is a great choice in both team vs team scenarios and 1v1 scenarios (e.g. crew wars) because of its amazing support and combo potential. [F] Tempo: Prestissimo provides support for the player and allies while also providing good mobility viable in air PvP. [C] Symphonic Radiance has a huge AOE that automatically damages and breaks Instinct of any opponents in range. This makes it a very viable combo starter as enemies cannot Instinct trick your attacks while in range.
  • Ice provides incredible stuns and AoE in exchange for its lack of range, damage, and moves that are ineffective mid-air. Ice can be considered great for beginners who wish to learn the basics of combo, though is not recommended otherwise due to its ground-based moves that can be easily countered by simply skycamping. Ice works best with Sword Main, though Fruit Main is still powerful.

Swords[]

Swords are one of the items that deal the most damage, especially when upgraded and paired with enchantments. If you are a Sword Main, swords will be your main damage dealer. Even if you are not a Sword Main, swords will always serve as great stuns and support.

True Triple Katana
Shark Anchor
Yama
Fox Lamp
Tushita
  • True Triple Katana is very similar to Shark Anchor in terms of moves' design. Its [X] move is a ranged combo finisher, whereas its [Z] move is a short-ranged combo extender. True Triple Katana performs best with Sword Stats, due to its good damage and mediocre support abilities.
  • Shark Anchor has two moves that complement each other. Its [Z] move is a ranged combo starter, whereas its [X] move is a short-ranged combo extender. Both moves can be good for both Blox Fruit and Sword Mains, providing good stun/support and damage. However, it should be noted that its [X] move can be dodged using Instinct.
  • Yama is an excellent support sword/Fruit main sword, due to the movement from Z and X abilities and a high combo potential using the X ability.
  • Fox Lamp is great for both support and sword stats. It's [Z] move provides a very long stun that is hard to Instinct trick and the [X] move provides solid damage output. It should be noted that its lacks the mobility other support swords like Yama has. This can be fixed with a high mobility fruit and/or accessory.
  • Tushita is a great sword due to having high damage, a stun on the [Z] move and great range on the [X] move. This sword also has good combo potential.

Guns[]

Guns are mostly used for supporting weapon, such as for stuns and Instinct breaking. Some guns are also used for damage but might be hard to use, so it is best to practice using it by learning to aim and predicting movements.

Skull Guitar
Dragonstorm
Kabucha
Venom Bow
  • Skull Guitar is arguably the best gun for every non-Gun Main. It provides great stuns that can open up room for combos. Its [Z] move is basically Kabucha's [X] move, but faster and Instinct trickable. Its [X] move is arguably the best Gun ability, being a great stun that breaks Instinct. Its [M1] attack can also be used to boost the user's dashes, giving them insane mobility when mastered.
  • Dragonstorm is mainly used to break instinct and can be very punishable for players who are not aware of incoming attack it has good range and AoE, so it is recommended as it can waste your opponent's Instinct, paving a path for combos. Dragonstorm's [M1] attacks can be very helpful in draining Instinct dodges if aimed properly and consistently.
  • Kabucha is good mainly because of its [X] move that allows the user to push the enemy further towards any direction while breaking Instinct. It is considered to be very viable with Gun Main is one build, being Godhuman, Portal, Kabucha, and Gravity Blade, providing amazing damage, especially when paired with enchantments.
  • Venom Bow is a great gun for damage dealing and support. The [X] move stuns and the [Z] move has very long range and deals good DoT damage. This gun can be seen as a better Acidum Rifle.

Mobile Tips[]

Mobile gameplay is very different from PC gameplay. Most notable difference being having to click 2-3 times more on a screen. Similar to the gameplay, skill is different too. Due to the way mobile works, spam is out of the question. Fruits like Leopard are worse due to having to tap too much to "spam." However, fruits like Buddha are arguably better due to tapping counting as [M1] attacks.

Mobile Recommendations[]

  • Avoid using fruits with little stuns such as Leopard. However, Kitsune can still be used. For improvements, use Dough V2 until you feel bored or do not see any improvements. From here, it depends on the user about what the want to use. but here are some stuff to avoid:
  • Avoid using Lightning. Its [F] move requires the user to tap "Use" then tap. This can be annoying as a key component of Lightning is basically annoying to use, instead of useful.
  • Electric Claw is also hard to use, requiring to have great precision on PC, and on mobile it can be really hard to use, no matter how skilled you are.
  • Spirit is also harder to use. However, not terrible, it still has its hardships. It does not have any significant downsides, just harder to adapt to than PC.
