Private servers are an integrated part of Roblox that Blox Fruits uses. They can be purchased for
200 which renews every 30 days for the same price.
Accessing
The configuration menu of a private server.
Private servers, put simply, are safe havens. They can only be joined for the owner and people they invite. They are entirely separate servers from public ones. Other players can join by:
- The owner adding their username to a list in the configuration menu. This does require the recipient to have this enabled in their privacy settings. By default, it is disabled.
- The owner sending them a private server link generated using the configuration menu, and having them click on it. This does not work for <13 accounts.
- The owner adding someone as a friend, then turning on the option that allows the owner's Roblox friends to join.
This effectively allows the player to play Blox Fruits in private with their friends or themselves, not having to worry about other players. By default, to "ban" someone from a private server, the owner simply has to block a player on Roblox.
VIP Menu
Once in-game, the private server owner is given a VIP button in the upper left corner of their screen, which opens the VIP Menu. This menu consists of 4 different settings that do different things.
- Server Locking effectively locks the server, preventing any players from joining the same sea as the owner.
- PvP mode allows the owner to select a PvP mode for the current sea:
- Selecting Passive Mode disables all PvP, regardless of teams.
- Selecting Friendly mode enables all PvP, regardless of teams, but prevents bounty loss, removes the grace period upon death and additionally removes all Safe Zones.
- Selecting Default mode enables all default PvP mechanics, similar to a public server.
- Kick allows the owner to kick players from the private server.
- Shutdown allows the owner to shut the server down, starting a timer that waits 15 seconds before kicking all players and resetting the server.
- This only shuts the current sea's server down. Other seas are not affected.
Information/Trivia
Private servers have the following (known) conditions:
- Only 2 fruits can spawn inside of a private server since its start.
- Bosses will not immediately spawn at the start of a server. They'll instead spawn when their respawn period is over.
- Upon start, servers start on a half moon, with the sun halfway in the sky.
- The Player Hunter will refuse to give the player a quest while in a private server, stating "Sorry, you must join a public server for PvP tasks."
- Inside private servers, the build limit of the Creation Fruit increases from 40 to 189.
Security
On some platforms, some players have recently started sending fake private server links to other players. These are quite dangerous, because if a player presses on the link, their personal information will likely be stolen. If the player also logs in through the fake login, the website will also steal their account details. The player will not be able to get their account back unless they have proof of ownership of the account (e.g. a receipt of a Robux purchase).
- Fake private server links can easily be discerned from a real one by looking at the domain. A standard Roblox link starts with
www.roblox.com. If it starts with something else (such aswwv-roblox, orrblox, or evenroblox-site) or ends with something else (such ascom.se, or com.cm), the link is fake. - If you suspect that your account details have been stolen, reset your password and contact Roblox Support.
PLEASE make sure to check links properly before clicking them. It is very important for account security.
