The Prehistoric Island is a sea event.

The Prehistoric Island is essential for obtaining the Dragonheart, Dragonstorm, Dino Hood, T-Rex Skull, Draco race, and the Draco race's awakening. It is widely renowned for being a rare sea event.

Spawning[]

To spawn the Prehistoric Island, players need to sail into Sea Danger Level 6 (????) and continue exploring until the island appears. The island can spawn even if the player in the boat does not have the Volcanic Magnet, but having it increases the chances of the island spawning drastically. Thus, it is recommended for at least one player to have a Volcanic Magnet in the sea exploration group if they're hunting for the Prehistoric Island.

Notes[]

  • The player can spawn it alone and the Volcano Event can be completed alone (Not recommended since it will be very difficult). The island will despawn after all players leave the island.
  • The Prehistoric Island can spawn at any time, regardless of whether it is day or night. However, it is recommended to attempt spawning during the day for better visibility and navigation.
  • The Prehistoric Island can be spawned without a Volcanic Magnet, at a lower chance.
  • If a player who was not apart of the exploration group who started the event or joins later, they will not be able to claim any of the Dinosaur Bones or Dragon Eggs.
  • The player driving the boat does not need the Volcanic Magnet as long as someone in the ship has it.

Usage[]

The Prehistoric Island is the only location where the Fossil Expert can appear. The Fossil Expert enables players to use Dinosaur Bones to craft unique Accessories, such as the T-Rex Skull and Dino Hood.

Interacting with the Fossil Ancient Relic (not to be confused with Ancient Relic) triggers a cutscene, after which the Volcano Event begins. Said relic is the large T-Rex Skull on the ground in front of the volcano.

The player can find the Dragon Egg next to the Fossil Ancient Relic, an item that is used to get the Draco race, crafting weapons, or unlocking Mythical dragon skin recipes. The player will need to talk to the Dragon Wizard and learn the Dragon Tether ability to be able to grab the egg.

Dragon Eggs will not spawn if the relic is under 90% Health at the end of the event.

There is the Prehistoric Cave located under Fossil Expert, where players with Draco race can obtain its V4 and upgrade it. The cave will be closed until the Volcano Event is completed. Only one player can go inside and do the Trial of Flames.

Volcano Event[]

The Ancient Relic (or fossil) must be interacted with to start the event. The player has 5 minutes to complete the event, there are two main themes in this event:

  1. Players must keep the volcano pressure down by using moves with Destructible Physics and damage on the orange effects/flames on the volcano to destroy them.
  2. Protect the relic, which will be attacked by Lava Golems. Players must protect the relic by preventing the Lava Golems from hitting and destroying it.

These two events will occur simultaneously, so it is recommended to have two groups, one maintaining the volcano pressure and the other protecting the relic. However, it is fine for one player for each. Otherwise, it is nearly impossible to solo.

When the timer runs out, players will be able to pick up as many bones as they can as quickly as possible on the ground near the relic. (The amount of bones spawn depends on how many players on the island when the event start, each player should spawn five bones). The black door will also open in a cave, but the player has to be using the Draco race to unlock it.

After the Volcano Event is completed, the entrance to the Trial of Flames cave on the island will be opened.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • A good strategy is spawning the Prehistoric Island with a single boat and someone driving it that has the Volcanic Magnet and that preferably has the Portal fruit equipped, to make Terrorsharks and all Sea Danger Level 6 (????) Sea Events despawn, with the Dimensional Rift move. Once the Prehistoric Island spawns, bring as many people as possible mounting a fully transformed Dragon as well as 2-3 teammates and, upon completing the Volcano Event, the Volcano will drop 5x Dinosaur Bones per person on the island.
  • Another good strategy is to fly above all Sea Events using The Sentinel with a small group of people (2-8 players recommended) all having a Volcanic Magnet in their inventory. Once the Prehistoric Island spawns, clear the Volcano Event and obtain 5x Dinosaur Bones per player that joined the event.
  • It is recommended to split into two groups: one focuses on reducing the pressure of the volcano, while the other deals with eliminating the lava golems.
  • A group of at least two people or more is recommended. If the player has only one friend or teammate, just get the player with the more explosive moves to handle the volcano pressure whilst the other fends off the lava golems.
  • It is advisable to use a fruit with a flight ability like Light or Magma to quickly fly around the volcano and reduce the pressure in a short period of time.
  • To better get rid of the golems that spawn, it is recommended to use moves with stun, AoE, and no cast animations so the player can swiftly avoid getting hit and lure the golems away from the relic, while killing the golems quickly.
  • If the player decides to solo the Prehistoric Island, awakened Buddha may come in handy as the awakened C move's range can almost cover the frontside of the volcano. This allows the player to keep the pressure down without moving a lot while dealing with the Lava Golems. Make sure to use movement moves to quickly move around the island if the cracks appear on the backside of the volcano.
  • Players can use Scorching Donut [F] with Awakened Dough to easily traverse the Volcano to keep the volcano pressure down.
  • Be careful when trying to patch orange effects on the near peak of the volcano as there is still lava on the sides and top of it.
  • If the player doesn't have any flight moves, Skull Guitar is recommended (doesn't require to max stat on it) due to its M1 having Destructible Physics and has a short cooldown than the majority of guns. The player must be good at aiming it. This is recommended for a group of two to four people if most of them choose to protect the Relic.
  • A sea exploration group of at least two people is highly recommended for the Prehistoric Island; preferably at least a Buddha user with a sword for Lava Golems and a player with a flight ability (like Phoenix's or Dragon's F ability) can be used on the volcano pressure. With this strategy, the Volcano Event can be easily beaten.
  • One strategy any Dragon user could use to easily solo the Volcano Event is to keep alternating between hybrid and full form to kill the golems with hybrid M1s and seal the volcano cracks with full form Scorching Downfall [C]. Doing this, however, requires the player to keep track of their fury meter at all times.
  • One way to solo the Prehistoric Island is to deal with the golems is to hit them towards the beach, this will keep them there and stop them from damaging the relic. Doing this will allow you to keep the volcanic pressure down, but do make sure to check if any golems spawned.

Notes[]

  • The Lava from the volcano quickly kills the player, even if they have Magma or Leopard equipped.
  • The Prehistoric Island has no cooldown, and the player can repeat this event multiple times.
  • The number of bones that spawn after completion of the event corresponds to the number of players that are on the Prehistoric Island when the event has started. Once the event has started, any players that participate that were not originally on the island will not get counted towards the total rewards.
    • If a player uses Portal's Dimensional Rift after the event has started, the people in the dimension will not be able to claim rewards.
  • If the player dies before the event ends, they will not be able to see Dinosaur Bones and Dragon Eggs.
  • If no one is around Prehistoric Island, even if it just spawned, it will immediately despawn.
  • The player can get either the East or West variants of Dragon when collecting a Dragon Egg, but at a very low chance.
  • The player can only collect one Dragon Egg per Volcano Event.
  • A total of four Dragon Eggs are required. Meaning five trips to this island in total are needed. (First trip is to unlock the Dragon Tether ability and the next four trips are to collect the Dragon Eggs)

Trivia[]

  • The Prehistoric Island's despawn time is around 30-45 minutes. However, it will still despawn instantly if no one is on the island or if the player who spawned it leaves the game.
  • The volcano eruption is one of the Admin Abilities, which is called "Draconic Incandescence of the Vermilion Firmament".
  • The Prehistoric Island is commonly abbreviated as "PH".
  • This island, and other "rare" sea events, used to be spawnable in any Sea Danger Level due to the now-patched "12-player glitch."
