Materials are constituent items dropped by various enemies, each with unique uses. Many are required to upgrade weapons, crafting items like the Skull Guitar, or learning fighting styles such as Godhuman and more.
Most materials are useful for one or more things, but Gunpowder is the only exception since it doesn't have any use currently, although even at one point it was usable for crafting limited Halloween potions. Even though the drop rate for most materials is low, the large number of NPCs defeated while grinding makes it easier to collect them.

There is a total of 55 materials in the game:

- Materials cannot be equipped and only appear in the player's inventory.
- Most Materials have a max capacity of 99.

- Most of these are meant to be used as Currencies rather than as a crafting piece, which explains their higher volumes. Monster Magnet and Volcanic Magnet, however, is treated more like a loose Item, which explains their tiny max amount.
- Exceptions to this are:
- Some materials such as Ectoplasm can be exchanged as currency for items or for weapons.
Tips[]
- Farming materials in First Sea is recommended as enemies are weaker.
- Quake is highly recommended to farm materials, especially in First Sea, as its [V] move can hit and defeat a large number of enemies at once with ease.
- Dragon (West/East) is also highly recommended to farm materials, especially in First Sea, as all their moves have massive AoE, even can enshroud a whole island.
- Wearing Leviathan Crown increases the drop chance of sea events' materials (in Third Sea).
