Description from the game

The Marines side is one of the two playable teams the player can choose in Blox Fruits. It is the opposite, and the enemy of pirates. The Marine team receives Honor, as opposed to Bounty, through PvP/PvE.

Marine Ranks[]

Certain "ranks" (displayed above the player's name) can be earned as a marine. They depend entirely on the amount of Honor the player has.

Honor Rank name Honor Rank name
1 Seaman Recruit 1M Lieutenant Commander
1K Seaman Apprentice 2M Commander
5K Seaman First Class 3M Captain
15K Petty Officer 4M Commodore
30K Chief Petty Officer 5M Rear Admiral
50K Master Chief Petty Officer 7.5M Vice Admiral
100K Ensign 10M Admiral
200K Lieutenant Junior Grade 15M Fleet Admiral
500K Lieutenant 20M Legendary Fleet Admiral

Advantages[]

Marine advantages compared to pirates are:

  1. Faster and (50%) cheaper boats - Boats also have a blue and white color revamp.
  2. Marines cannot attack other marines. This tends to be annoying against kill stealers due to not being able to stop them. However, there are not many players who choose to play on the Marine side.
  3. The player can collect bounties of pirates for extra $ money. This can be done by clicking on players wanted posters which are usually hung on walls in certain islands.

Disadvantages[]

Marine disadvantages compared to pirates are:

  1. Marines cannot create or join crews, meaning that they cannot achieve 2 titles that are only available to crew members. However, only marines can claim the title "Justice Seeker" #066.
  2. Every marine is allied; absolutely no marines can attack each other. (Unless they are fighting in the Temple of Time after the trials.)
  3. Cannot ally pirates. (Unless a marine does a Raid with a pirate.)

Tips[]

  • It is recommended to play as a Marine during the early game, since boats will travel faster, allowing the player to travel much more quickly. However, later on in the game boats are less useful as a transportation method, meaning that this team is mostly helpful in PvP.
    • Additionally, many of the Bounty Hunters in the early seas use this team.
  • Although this team encourages team play, beware of items with large AoE, as these types of attacks can do heavy damage to clusters of players. (Ex: Cyborg V4)

Trivia[]

  • As of Update 20, users can no longer see the exact honor number and title at the top, requiring someone else to see it for them. Makes this a bit of a pain if the user wants to see the honor number clearly.
  • If a Marine equips the Coat, obtained from defeating the Vice Admiral at the Marine Fortress, the Coat will appear with the Marines logo and blue sleeves.
  • Upon reaching a certain amount of Honor, the player will earn titles for it (Second Sea and Third Sea only.)
  • Upon reaching 2.5M Honor, the player will no longer be able to gain Honor from killing Bosses. The same goes for Pirates, but with Bounty.
  • To receive the reward, the player must first start a quest to defeat the player with a bounty by clicking on their wanted poster. If the difference in level is too high, the mission will not start.
    • However, there isn't a compass or waypoint that leads to the bounty the player chose, meaning the player has to set sail and find them themselves.
    • Similar to how if the player kills someone who is too low or too high of a level they won't receive anything, it is the same thing for the reward system, however, the player can't equip the quest at all.
    • When the player joins the game they will join a team called neutral which will depend on their honor. It will switch to bounty once the player joins pirates of course.
  • The user can obtain two different titles after obtaining a certain amount of Honor.
    • At 10M Honor, the user obtains the "Admiral" title #024.
    • At 20M Honor, the user obtains the "Fleet Admiral" title #025.
    • At 5M Bounty/5M Honor, the user obtains the "Pirate Hunter" and "Bounty Hunter" titles #019 and #020 respectively.
  • It is possible to ally a Pirate by joining a raid with one. The player won’t be able to un-ally them until the raid is finished.
  • The player will be automatically un-allied with a Pirate (or a number of Pirates) after a raid if they die or reset their character.
  • The icon in the marine team is the Vice admiral.
