"A mysterious shrine has appeared in the sea..."

Kitsune Island is a sea event that exclusively spawns in the Third Sea.

Spawning[]

Requirements[]

In order to spawn the Kitsune Island, players can either sail a boat into Sea Danger Level 6 in the daytime and stay there until the Full Moon arrives, or stay in Danger Level 5 and only go into Danger Level 6 when the Full Moon rises. If the player wishes to do this to play it safe, be sure to not wait too long, as it will not spawn in an estimated amount of 5 minutes. Then, the Kitsune Island will spawn instantly, and a system message will appear.

Note: The owner of the boat must be in the boat for the Island to spawn

Kitsune Shrine[]

The Kitsune Island holds the Kitsune Shrine, which can give exclusive rewards in return for Azure Embers.

Notes[]

  • It is not recommended to start hunting for Kitsune Island when the day has started. It is recommended to start hunting for the island right before the sun goes down or afternoon. Doing it early will result in triggering another sea event. The player can also leave their boat 20 meters away from them and go to their boat when the moon is about to rise and then enter Sea Danger Level 6 and it should still spawn.
  • The Kitsune Island will spawn most of the time if entered within 25 seconds of the full moon text appearing on the player’s screen. It will also disappear after 15 minutes have passed, but it will not despawn if all of the players leave Kitsune Island.
  • If a player tries to sail by using a different player’s boat and then reaches Sea Danger Level 6, the island will not spawn even if they are in the area and the full moon starts. The island will only spawn if the owner is in the boat. (The owner of the boat does not have to drive it as long as they are sitting in the boat.)
  • Only one Kitsune Island can spawn in a server, which means whoever enters Sea Danger Level 6 first will be the one to spawn the island.
  • If the Kitsune Island spawns in a rough sea, collecting the Azure Embers will be much harder due to the fact that lightning can take the player out of mobility moves (e.g: Dough awakened [F] move).
  • There is a glitch where if multiple players sail together, the island won’t spawn even when the full moon starts. To find the Kitsune Island with multiple players, take the boat to Danger Level 6 (???), then ask the other players to leave the boat and move far enough away until they can’t see the danger meter (it’s recommended to go even further just in case). Once the full moon rises, the owner should return to the boat to spawn the island. After the island has spawned, the other players can join before starting the Blue Moon event.

Trivia[]

  • If Mirage Island spawns next to the island, the shrine will not work, and no Azure Ember will spawn on the island, the same with Rough Sea. If this happens, go far out away from the island. As long as the player still has the timer on their UI, embers will still spawn.
  • The trees on Kitsune Island are breakable and may drop Wooden Planks upon destroying.
