The Iron Mace can be purchased for 25,000 from the Sword Dealer of the West, who is located at the Pirate Village found in the First Sea.

Pros
General Cheap to obtain. Good option for beginners. Ideal for grinding at low levels. Very low mastery requirements.
Normal Attack (Tap) Large hitbox.

Cons
General Cannot hit Blade users. Better used in close-ranged combat, which can make it ineffective against enemies with long-ranged abilities. Low damage. Becomes less effective for grinding at higher levels and has limited use. Lack of mobility. Weak in the air.
[Z] Mace Smash Needs a decent aim to use. Doesn't work in the air.
[X] Killer Combo Extremely terrible in the air.

The Iron Mace is the only sword that has visible spikes on it.
When the player holds [X] Killer Combo then rapidly unequips the Iron Mace right before the move finishes its animation, they will be rendered immobile until the player resets or leaves the game. This glitch can be useful for AFK grinding enemies by preventing the player from moving or perhaps taking knockback from attacks. (This can prove useful for lower leveled players with Elemental fruits, but doesn't really help that much with general grinding.)
The Iron Mace, despite being classified as a sword, is a Mace.
The Iron Mace, alongside Shark Saw and Bisento are the only swords that slam on the ground on the last M1.
