Instinct V2 is an upgraded version of Instinct and can only be unlocked in the Third Sea with certain requirements.

Obtainment

Main article: Hungry Man/Quest

Instinct V2 can be obtained through a decently long quest with many requirements named the Hungry Man Quest, once the player has 5000 Exp. on Instinct.

Requirements

• Lv. 1800 or above.
• 5000 EXP5000 EXP on Instinct V1, which players can know by talking again to the Instinct Teacher in the First Sea or receiving the title Ultra Instinct #072.
• Have the Musketeer Hat, therefore, also have completed the Citizen's Quest.
• 5,000,000

Abilities

• Instinct V2 allows the player to see another player's:
  • Energy
  • Health
  • Fruit Meter
  • Level
  • Fighting Style
  • Sword
  • Blox Fruit
  • Gun
  • Fishing Rod

The user can only see their enemy’s current weapons, not their entire inventory.

• Instinct V2 allows the user to recharge dodges faster than V1, exactly 10 seconds faster (40 seconds instead of 50).
• Instinct V2 has a much bigger detection range than V1, being able to see players that are further away.
• Instinct V2 has a less blurred vision and more brightness than V1 while active.
• If in combat, Instinct V2 gives the players dashes a 50% speed boost.
• The icon of their ability/item will go dark when they are holding said ability/item.
• Instinct V2 allows the player to see while another player is charging/holding up a move.
  • This displays through the other player emitting a white glow and exclamation marks.

Tips

• If the player activates Instinct V1/V2 while also holding a move (ex: T-Rex's [X] Predatory Screech), it will break even if their dodge count is not exhausted.
• The fastest way for the player to get 5000 Exp for Instinct V2 is by using up all of their dodges, then rejoining the game or server hopping to recharge their dodges and do it over and over again, then repeat.
• Instinct Tricking (sometimes called "Ken Tricking") is one of the many ways to dodge combos from players.
• Be careful and use Instinct wisely to escape combos as there are many fighting styles, guns, swords, and fruits that can break Instinct.
• As the player can see what the other player is holding/charging, they should get prepared for pvp and try to attack first.
• The player can use the Pale Scarf to buff their Instinct significantly, as the Pale Scarf will give them buffs such as 2 extra Instinct dodges and 10x more vision range (only works on players).

Trivia

• While Instinct V2 is active, the player's eyes will emit a glow effect of their Aura color, or a trail if moving.
  • If the player does not have any aura color equipped, a red glow effect will be used.
• Once switched, there is no way to switch back from V2 to V1, as V2 is a direct upgrade to V1.
• Instinct V2 costs 5,000,000, so the player should make sure to grind money as soon as possible (if they’re planning to get it), grinding sea beasts is advised if in third sea as this is the most efficient if not dangerous means of obtaining money.
