Heightened Senses is the V3 ability of Ghoul, unlockable through the Arowe NPC. It can only be used while the player is using the Ghoul race. Like all V3 abilities, it can be quickly activated by pressing the [T] key, or the up D-Pad on console.

Appearance

Upon activating Heightened Senses, red crows burst from the player. While the ability is active, red static appears around the user, blood cover the user's arms and torso, and a red heart appears on the left side of their chest.

Buffs

Heightened Senses reduces the player’s cast cooldown by 40%. It also increases the player's defense by 15%. Additionally, it boosts health regeneration, speed and damage, while granting life leech. The effect lasts 8 seconds and has a 30-second cooldown.

Skill cast cooldown reduction example:

• The cooldown of Control's [V] Total Concentration move is 20 seconds. Activating Heightened Senses will allow the player to use the move when it has 8 seconds left on its cooldown. There is no visual indicator for this.

Pros
The buffs on speed, damage, and defense stacks with other buffs. It is an all-around V3 ability due to its diverse buffs. The move cast cooldown reduction unlocks a lot of combos. A decently good counter to Rabbit.

Cons
The diverse buffs also pose a con: It serves as a balancing point. Slower speed than Rabbit, less damage than Human, less healing power than Angel, and less damage reduction than Shark. It's for the ones who can't pick. Completing the V3 quest is a bit tedious.
