Energy Core is the V3 ability of Cyborg, unlockable through Arowe. It can only be used while the player is of the Cyborg race. Like all V3 abilities, it can be quickly activated using the [T] key, or up D-Pad on console.

Appearance

Upon activating Energy Core, purple lightning bursts from the player. When this ability is activated, purple static appears around the user, purple energy covers the user's arms and torso, lightning bolts continuously appear around the user, a pink rotating energy crosshair appears in front of the user's face, and a purple heart appears on the left of their chest.

Buffs

Energy Core boosts the player's defense by 30% and also creates an AoE lightning effect around the player that does tick damage to enemies within its range. The damage is based on the player's level.

• It starts at 0 damage, then scales up by 0.65 every 10 levels.
  • Example: Lv. 2,000 = 2000 * 0.65 = 1300, then put the last 0 as a decimal = 130.0 damage/tick.
  • Example 2: Lv. 1,680 = 1680 * 0.65 = 1092, then put the last 2 as a decimal = 109.2 damage/tick.

It lasts 6 seconds and deals 34 ticks of damage, also has a 30 second cooldown.

Pros
Very useful for breaking Instinct. Can be used as a mini substitute for Water Body due to its small defense boost. Can be set up to automatically kill enemies without moving a finger (pressing the T key every 30 seconds)

Cons
Can easily be ran from. Does not provide any buffs outside of damage and defense. Can be countered by Human V4 Psycho: Tier 2.

Trivia

• Energy Core is the first V3 ability that deals damage.
• Defeating an NPC only using Energy Core will not grant the player mastery on anything, but if the player damages the NPC beforehand using a Blox Fruit, Gun, Sword, or Melee, they will get mastery on the Fruit, Gun, Swords, or Melee they used to damage the NPC.

• Energy Core was reworked.
  • Old: Defense increases to 80% against any attack. After 1.5 seconds, releases an explosion equal to 40% of absorbed damage + 7.5% of the user's max Health.
  • New: Boosts the player's defense by 30% and also creates an AoE lightning effect around the player that does tick damage to enemies within its range.
