Wielded by the keeper of tides, a spear that controls water with the power of a dragon.
Item Description in Inventory

The Dragon Trident is a Rare sword.

The Dragon Trident is a decent pick due to its AoE and ease. It is also somewhat easy to get due to being obtainable in Second Sea.

It is best suited for grinding, as it's [X] Water Dragon Shower, is an un-true stun.

Obtainment[]

The Dragon Trident can be dropped by the Tide Keeper.

Overview[]

Pros
General
  • High damage.
  • Great combo potential.
  • Very big hitbox compared to other swords.
  • Good range.
  • On the fourth swing, it provides a dash good for locomotion.
  • Very good as a support weapon, as the [X] move has a lot of AOE and a good stun.
[Z] Sea Dragon Fury
  • Decent AoE damage, making it quite easy to hit.
  • High knockback, which is useful against transformed Buddha users in PvP.
[X] Water Dragon Shower
  • Does not require a lot of aiming.
  • Largest AoE in the game out of every sword.
  • Good stun.
  • Brings down enemies to the ground, can be extremely viable against sky campers.
  • Breaks Instinct if the player aims the center whirlpool at the enemy.
  • Good for combo starter.
  • Can be used to avoid suspicious kills with Buddha, as the player can use it and switch to a fighting style with a low [M1] attack cooldown such as Sanguine Art or Water Kung Fu.

Cons
General
  • Cannot hit Blade users.
  • Melee attacks cause a short dash on the fourth swing, making it less ideal for auto clicking.
  • High mastery requirements compared to most Rare swords.
  • No mobility.
[Z] Sea Dragon Fury
  • High knockback can make it bad for grinding.
  • Only breaks Instinct if aimed correctly.
[X] Water Dragon Shower
  • A bit weak in air. (Can not hit players in the air if too close.)
  • Can be dodged with Instinct if the target is at the end of the move.
  • Useless in the water. (The shower goes beneath the sea.)

Trivia[]

  • If the player uses the Dragon Trident's [M1] dash attack in mid-air, they will go very far.
  • The Tide Keeper uses the old abilities of Dragon Trident.
  • The Dragon Trident is the only Rare sword to have its [X] move mastery requirement being 350.
  • The Dragon Trident can be considered an upgrade to the Trident.
