"The power of darkness has been unleashed." Darkbeard is a level 1,000 Raid Boss in the Second Sea that uses the old unawakened version of Dark. This Raid Boss has 305,000 HP.
Spawning[]
To spawn Darkbeard, the player needs to obtain a Fist of Darkness, an item unique to the Second Sea that functions similarly to God's Chalice (exclusive to the Third Sea). The Fist of Darkness can be obtained by killing a Sea Beast (not guaranteed) or finding one that spawns in a chest every 4 hours in a Second Sea server. Once the player has obtained a Fist of Darkness, head to the Dark Arena, northeast of the Kingdom of Rose and in front of the Ice Castle. Once the player is there, head to the middle of the arena and walk into the altar to summon Darkbeard.
Upon summoning Darkbeard, the sky will turn dark, a boss HP bar will show on top of the nearby players and everyone will be alerted with a System Message announcing in big, red letters: "The power of darkness has been unleashed". Everyone's screen will shake and there will be a lightning sound effect.
If Darkbeard despawns, the sky will become normal and he no longer will be in the Dark Arena. He despawns in 10 minutes.

Tips[]
- It is recommended to set your spawn point at Snow Mountain, Green Zone, Kingdom of Rose, or Ice Castle as they are close to the Dark Arena.
- It is recommended to have at least 5+ players Second Sea or 2+ Third Sea to defeat him.
- It is recommended to use high damaging fruits like Rumble, Spider, or Venom. These fruits also have great stun and long range, which will be helpful for preventing Darkbeard from retaliating.
- Buddha is excellent against Darkbeard and could likely even solo him. M1 Spamming against him will be extremely effective, and using Flash Step to avoid Dark Bomb will help greatly, however, the hitbox is very large and is punishable. The user might be hit by un-allied players, so it's best to ally when possible.
- It is also recommended to sky camp and attack it with long range moves as most of it's moves are ground based
- Recommended Fighting Styles are Sharkman Karate, Death Step or Electric Claw as they do a lot of damage. (especially if the player is a Buddha User)
- It's possible to solo Darkbeard, but it's recommended to keep a long distance so he cannot use his special attacks on the player.
- He uses a move every 2 seconds, so keep moving around to dodge his attacks.
- He also uses Flash Step though he doesn't use it often and is able to spam his moves, so be careful, use common sense, and don't go rushing in, as it is easier to get killed, unless the player activates Water Body (V3 move of Shark race)
- When the player starts the raid, Darkbeard will despawn after 10 minutes so they need to kill him quickly.
- It is recommended to stay away from players when having the fist of darkness and are trying to get to Dark Arena (Unless the player has allied them) as there will be players that will try and kill the player, such as bounty hunters. If they succeed the fist of darkness will be gone from the user's inventory.
Trivia[]
- Darkbeard used to drop an item called a Rare Artifact. However, this has been removed in Update 11 and was replaced with Fragments.
- The Rare Artifact was used for stat refunds and to change the users race from Tort.
- He shares the same face decal as The Saw.
- If the player kills him with 2x EXP activated they will get six levels instead of the standard three.
- As said on the top, the player must deal 10% damage to Darkbeard in order to get the levels and a small chance to earn the Dark Coat, the player has a 100% chance to earn a Dark Fragment.
- Darkbeard utilizes some moves from the old unawakened version of Dark.
