Wiki Staff Applications

NOTE: YOU MUST STRICTLY BE AGE 14 OR OLDER TO APPLY!

Introduction

This page allows you, as an ambitious and talented user, to apply for a staff member position on this wiki. Our main focus is on moderation, but we also all make a group effort to focus on the wiki's growth.

You may apply for each position three times maximum. However, the cooldown period for an application is two weeks, or 14 days.

To apply to all positions (currently Content and Discussion Moderator), you need a minimum of:

• 50 edits
• Post counts aren't necessary, but they are preferred
• Proficiency in the English language
• Free time! These are voluntary positions, not jobs.

How to Re-Apply

If it is your first time applying for the position, this section does not apply to you.

In the section provided below, you must add a number (a 1 or 2) in parentheses after your Fandom username. The number indicates the number of applications previously submitted.

• Applying for the first time: USERNAME
• Applying for the second time: USERNAME (1)
• Applying for the third time: USERNAME (2)

Missing this step will result in being redirected to your old application. Inserting numbers above two is not permitted, as you have no more than three chances to apply for Discussion Moderator and Content Moderator each.

Discussion Moderator

Discussion Moderator Application

As a Discussion Moderator, you are essentially the backbone of the community you are moderating for, in this case the Blox Fruits Wiki's Discussion forums. This is because an ideal Discussion Moderator is able to provide support by maintaining the integrity of discussions through the use of the rules, and quite possibly the community as a whole. To apply, some essential qualities and abilities are required in order to be eligible: The ability to defuse and adapt to situations, sometimes without resorting to the locking of threads, The capability to accurately determine whether a post warrants locking, deletion, or a category change, You should demonstrate maturity and the ability to use sound reasoning, combined with having common sense, While not mandatory, active participation in discussions is encouraged, Experienced in the English language, A general sense and aptitude for moderation is preferred. Other moderators are available to provide assistance and guidance if needed, Previous moderation experience is preferred, but not necessary. Your primary responsibilities will include: Actively engage with users in Discussions, Oversee and supervise Discussions to maintain a respectful environment, Work closely with the other discussion moderators and administrators. Content Moderator

Content Moderator Application

As an Blox Fruits Wiki Content Moderator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of pages, be it through moderation, supervising, or simply just regularly updating pages. The work of Content Moderators are more "behind-the-scenes" than Discussion Moderators, but they are equally important (if not more important), as they manage places of the wiki that most users often don't pay attention to. To apply, some essential qualities and abilities are required in order to be eligible: Experienced in wikitext, source editing, and HTML (not a requirement, but highly recommended), Experienced in the English language, Being able to ensure pages remain clean/informative/accurate/up-to-date, Provide suggestions to enhance the visual appeal and cleanliness of articles, Interested in working closely with the moderation team, Being active on the wiki, preventing vandalism and overseeing articles/Recent Changes, Previous moderation experience is preferred, but not necessary. You will: Oversee existing articles and create pages for new items from updates, Oversee user pages and articles, Constantly supervise the wiki activities, and revert vandalism when necessary, Work closely with the content moderators and administrators; not only to ensure communication but to ensure moderation is done efficiently. **You will not do discussion moderator duties. Report Team

Report Team Application

As an member of the Blox Fruits Wiki's Report Team, you will have a direct line of communication with staff members through a Discord server. You will only be requesting moderation, not performing it. As such, these applications are generally less strict. To apply, some essential qualities and abilities are required in order to be eligible: Have a significant amount of posts and are actively engaged with the community, Have a strong grasp of the Rules, Have reported content from Discussions in the past You will: Actively engage with the community, Oversee and constantly supervise Discussion activities, Work closely with the Discussion and Content Moderators, Intercommunicate with the other staff divisions when needed, Report content that violates the Rules to the staff team, Comply with staff protocols Application Procedures A few things we are looking for in your application are the following: Your Discord Username A good grasp on the Rules and Guidelines Any type of wiki moderation experience (if none, please specify that) Any other moderation experience such as Roblox group, Discord, etc. Your availability (and current moderator/administrator roles on other wikis if applicable) Other comments (e.g., your goals, academic life, etc.) Good communication is also highly necessary.
