Combos

Grants control over powerful ice storms, which can be used to blind your enemies.
Description in Shop

Blizzard is a Legendary Elemental-type Blox Fruit that costs $ 2,400,000 or R$ 2,250 from the Blox Fruit Dealer.

Blizzard allows the user to create, become and manipulate snow, allowing them to control phenomena such as snowstorms, or as suggested by the fruit's name, blizzards.

Blizzard is considered to be one of the most versatile Blox Fruits in the game due to its stuns, high damage output, and its high combo potential. Blizzard is also a great choice for Sea Events and grinding due to its high AoE damage as well as its flight ability, which allows the user to deal infinite damage. Blizzard has high mastery requirements so First Sea and early Second Sea players will have trouble grinding mastery. It is very good for grinding because of the Elemental passive, the flight move, and no high knockback moves.

Abilities[]

Elemental Reflex
The wielder is immune to all physical attacks (fighting style, sword, gun) from players unless the attacks are imbued with Aura. Against NPCs, this immunity applies unless they are of a higher level. This effect is only effective against non-boss enemies.

Overview[]

Pros
General
  • Fairly low mastery requirements.
  • Really good in PvP as all of its moves break/quickly drain Instinct, along with decent combo potential and a lot of stuns.
  • Amazing for grinding NPCs because of Blizzard having Elemental Reflex and large AoE.
  • Great for raids because of [V] move's AoE and spam potential.
  • Excellent choice for Sea Events.
  • Multiple stuns, making it good for farming bosses and PvP.
  • All moves have a wide AoE, especially the [V] move (able to cover the entirety of the 1v1 arena).
  • Decent cooldowns.
  • Pretty versatile, being a good fruit for many activities.
[Z] Snowflake Shuriken
  • Doesn't need exact aim, because they explode when at least one shuriken hits a target.
  • Good range.
  • Easier to hit when held.
[X] White Out
  • Good damage.
  • Good knockback.
  • Great stun, making good for combos.
  • Even when the enemy dodges the move, they will still get picked up and stunned by the tornado.
[C] Howling Wind
  • Good damage.
  • No knockback.
  • Good stun.
  • Great range.
[V] Blizzard Domain
  • Amazing damage.
  • Decent stun.
  • Huge AoE.
  • Great for trials.
  • Good against teamers because of the great AoE this move has.
  • Very useful against Beast fruits.
  • Low knockback.
  • Great for enclosed locations (i.e. Smoke Admiral's Boss Room).
[F] Tornado Flight
  • Can be held infinitely just like Smoke's [F] ability.
  • Great for grinding.
  • Great alternative for Dragon [V], Mammoth [F] (while transformed).
  • Great for Sea Beasts, as holding the move continuously can do a lot of damage.

Cons
General
  • Moves are quite slow.
  • Require a short period of time to deal high damage.
[Z] Snowflake Shuriken
  • Does less damage if not held.
  • Slow and can be easily avoided if long range.
  • The snowflakes can be dodged if they do not explode on the ground, making it easily escapable in air fights.
  • The snowflakes explode at maximum range, which is unreliable due to instinct giving the player I-frames upon a successful dodge.
[X] White Out
  • Hard to use in an air fight.
  • Has to be aimed correctly to get its full damage for Sea Beasts.
  • Could easily be missed in PvP due to its zig-zag movement.
  • Has knockback, making it unsuitable for grinding.
[C] Howling Wind
  • Knocks enemies upwards, and not recommended for grinding.
  • Lacks range.
[V] Blizzard Domain
  • Long start up.
  • Only pulls enemies in during the startup.
  • Easier to escape, unless it is used in a combo.
  • The dome provides no stuns, making it escapable if not pulled in.
  • The pull has a decent horizontal reach but a poor vertical reach, making the pull weak against skycampers.
  • Could be easily predicted when enemies come close to the user, making it slightly ineffective in PvP.
  • On some low end devices, this moves could be extremely laggy.
[F] Tornado Flight
  • Slow speed, making it less effective for mobility.
  • Knocks back enemies, making it slightly annoying for grinding in compact places.
  • Hard to see and control on mobile.
  • In some cases, the pull can stop dragging enemies along while damaging them, especially in laggy devices.
  • Not recommended to spam this attack in PvP due to its lack of speed.

Tips & Tricks[]

  • The [X] move is better used right after the [C] move to make a combo extender or a mini combo when the opponent is using the Shark race or has a higher bounty than the user, as this mini combo will quickly drain the opponent’s health.
    • After using Blizzard [C], the user should immediately use the [X] move and look down to the ground to make sure the opponent is close to them.
  • When starting a combo, the user could just simply use [C] Howling Wind to stun their enemy, then move close to them and use [X] White Out before it ends. The user should make sure to look down when using the [X] move.
  • There are some swords that perform great when paired with Blizzard:
    • Yama: This sword has decent mobility, and an amazing stun that combos well with Sanguine Art and Electric Claw. High mobility when using the Yama Z + Soul Guitar M1 glitch.
    • Cursed Dual Katana: High mobility, great combo starter especially if the user has the Unbreakable enchantment, along with high stun having high stun and long range, but it can be Instinct-tricked.
    • Shark Anchor: Large AoE, high stun, though the [X] move has a small hitbox and both [Z] and [X] moves are Instinct-trickable.
    • Fox Lamp: High stun, long range, high mobility, can use as combo starter since both of the moves break the opponents Instinct.
    • Gravity Blade: Bad mobility, and only one usable move outside of domain, meaning it's worse than the other swords. You can pull enemies into an X C mini combo, or flash step Z into the V move. It makes moves easier to hit, but the other swords are recommended due to their better mobility.
  • Blizzard's [V] move functions well in small spaces, including the Awakened Ice Admiral's Castle, Castle on the Sea, Magma Admiral's Volcano, Dark Arena, Race Awakening's trial room, etc.
  • Blizzard's [V] move is extremely useful for the PvP arena as [V] Blizzard Domain can deal heavy damage to all players in the arena. Thus, it can be used to target stronger players. However, players at level 2250 or lower will probably die or get very low if [V] Blizzard Domain is used.
  • When doing raids with Blizzard, it is recommended to spam [V] Blizzard Domain and hold [F] Tornado Flight for the first 4 islands (whilst simultaneously dodging all the projectiles and moves that come the user's way. When doing the boss, dodge enemies and spam V, C, X, and Z. The user should avoid using F frequently because the boss usually has a long-ranged move which will disrupt the flight. If the user is at a low amount of health (50% or so), hold F more, and when the user is lower than that (20% health), depending on the map, use a different strategy. If the map is spread out and open, use [Z] Snowflake Shuriken and [C] Howling Wind and move away from the boss, and use [X] White Out and [V] Blizzard Domain moves when NPCs start getting close. If the map is small or compact, Keep following the normal steps. Once the user reaches the boss island, refrain from using the [F] Tornado Flight move because once the move gets canceled, the user may fall into a group of NPCs which can cause them to die fast. If the user is at low health, they should use [V] Blizzard Domain, [C] Howling Wind, and [Z] Snowflake Shuriken and keep as far away as possible until their health regenerates. If the user gets cornered, they should jump high and move to the other side of the island.
  • Blizzard is one of the best fruits for Race Awakening trials, especially for Shark, Human, and Ghoul's trials, because of the huge AoE effect it has.
  • Combining Blizzard's ability to easily hit other players with Shark Race V4 will provide the user with a high uptime of the Leviathan Armor buff.
  • There is a trick where if the user uses [F] Tornado Flight and drag a boss/enemy towards a corner inside with a roof, then the boss/enemy won’t be able to use attacks for a very long time. This trick is perfect to kill Saber Expert and Cake Queen, but the roof can only be shorter than Awakened Buddha because if the user hits a high surface while using Blizzard [F], they will instantly go higher and be unable to damage the Boss.
  • If the user uses the [F] move on a transformed Dragon, they will take continuous damage until they untransform. If they try to run away while in the form, they will still not be able to stop taking damage.
