Hey everyone. I'm making this post because I saw something made by @Frmg in the Trading category back in November of last year, a post which I didn't notice but was brought to my attention recently and I think it perfectly encapsulates the situation that we're currently in, with something that I would call the "trading epidemic". What do I mean by that? Let me explain...

As mentioned in their original post, multiple websites claiming themselves to be "Blox Fruits Values", or any other websites similar to it, have popped up in recent memory and people have started using them as reference lists as to what fruits are valued in trading, which is currently causing the "trading epidemic" as we know it.

These websites propose themselves to be serious, and present an air of responsibility or knowledge that originally belongs to the wiki. They show no source for their data, yet claim the values listed on their website are the "true" values of fruits, causing people to reject trades that they actually, totally would've won from. This is completely outside of the perspective of "reality", and the people running these websites are not responsible with how they present their data.

Frmg has proved this through studying the website's history: "At no point have they been able to demonstrate or prove any scientific, mathematical or statistical methodology behind the values ​​displayed there. Everything is presented in an amateurish and subjective way." But yet, the values are still being used by people. The values put out by effectively nameless people who maintain these websites, assumedly a group of less than 15 people, somehow control the entire economy because they spent money to advertise?

I'm sure you can understand by this point that this is completely absurd. Real, legitimate economists agree wholesale that practices like these are outlandish, but people are still falling for it, presumably due to a lack of knowledge and experience. I need you all to do your part and stop using these websites. Actually.

Going forward, I will be disallowing the use, reference of, or linking to these "trading" or "value" websites in any manner. One person recently even made an edit to the Trading page recently, saying Kitsune was somehow worth 185 million? That's 23 times higher than what the actual price says on the tin, and that's crazy to assume. I repeat: there is no legitimate way to somehow put an objective value onto fruits like these which already have an established value by the developers themselves.

TLDR; This is an open letter for you, as a Blox Fruits player, to not trust these "value" websites. They are ran by a small group of elites who are, at this point, effectively steering the Blox Fruits "economy" in their favour, enforcing that thought upon everyone else, before even possibly thinking to ask anyone else or conduct studies. We need to do the work to make trades more fair, and end the trading epidemic. Adding information like this onto pages or discussing it as if it is fact will get you blocked.

I apologize for making an announcement on such short notice. I wanted to shed some light on the new moderators. It goes without saying, I apologize for the people I may have inconvenienced with this announcement.

As it was the case in the past, damage sections were not allowed and will now be removed from pages.

This decision is based on:

• Too many variations of damage (Accessories, Mastery, Stats, etc.).

• Results are tested on NPCs, not players.

• Tests are made with 600 Mastery, which many players don't have.

• Updating them has become unsustainable for our editors.

Hello, everyone! Some time has passed since we last made changes to the rules (outside of a few clarifications), but this time, it's a rule change brought on by FANDOM's Terms of Use (ToU).

A section of the terms state clearly that you're not allowed to "intentionally block, remove, or otherwise obstruct the proper functioning and view of advertisements and/or user interface and functionality".

We weren't made aware of this until recently, but so-called "Welcome Screens" on user pages (e.x. the kinds of code that require users to click on a button in order to proceed onto a page) are disallowed as per this section. This is after one of our users' pages got edited by a FANDOM staff where they removed the page's welcome screen, clearly stating that it's not allowed.

Since our wiki is run by FANDOM, we have to adhere to these guidelines and remove these welcome screens from user pages. We kindly ask you to take yours down if you have one, and let others know about this guideline change.

The Rules page will be updated in order to reflect this, as we know this can be a sudden change to users who've been using welcome screens for years.

Refusing to remove welcome screens may result in punishment. Additionally, staff members are encouraged to remove any welcome screens they see, and inform the user about the change on their Message Wall.

TLDR; Welcome Screens (making someone click a button or enter text by covering the screen once they go to your user page) are now disallowed, and you need to remove them. Refusing to remove them may result in punishment, and Staff Members are allowed to remove yours without provocation.

Hello! Hopefully, you're having a great day. I'd like to apologize in advance for the sudden announcement, but to put it bluntly, we need to address an important rule change that will affect how we handle things moving forward. Given that this is a major guideline and change that needs to be addressed, I highly recommend reading over the announcement.

Previously, toxicity was allowed to a certain extent, with the main line being drawn at death threats and doxxing (Along with others I'm sure you can think of). We also had another set of Discussions rules. Now, we are capitalizing on that.

Now, we’ll be gradually shifting towards (not absolute) but with little tolerance for toxicity. This isn’t an instant change, but a necessary one. We’re aligning with Fandom's overall Community Guidelines, which emphasize keeping interactions respectful across all communities regardless of the base game’s community.

This doesn’t mean you have to stop having fun, but it does mean there will be more limits placed to how toxic one can be. It goes without saying that action will be taken.

Why the change?

Fandom's Community Guidelines specifically state that toxicity isn’t allowed, and as part of the overall platform, we have to respect that. We’re just making sure our rules reflect the broader community standards.

What’s next?

As said before, this change is gradual, so we’ll be monitoring this transition and steadily improving this, and getting a better feel on how it goes.

I've been working closely with the Adopt Me! Wiki to help create a functioning staff application system over the past couple of months, and after some trial and error, I believe it to be in a baseline functional state.

Staff applications can be found over at https://blox-fruits.fandom.com/wiki/Blox_Fruits_Wiki:Wiki_Staff_Applications

Applications will be taken seriously; where every single staff member on the Applications Team is required to accept your application before you are allowed to become a staff member. I will go through every application as frequently as I can and put them up for votes in the newly-created Application Team. These consist mainly of current administrators, along with a few content moderators. Currently, there are 5 members.

With the staff applications, I've also introduced the Report Team. Applying for the Report Team can be done in the same way that you apply for staff positions; however, instead of receiving staff, you'll instead receive the Rollback permissions. This is along with access to the Report Team's Discord channels, where content can be directly reported to all staff members. We hope this will encourage a community where reports can be easily made through simply being a trusted editor on the Wiki.

As such, from here on out, staff applications or accepted applications will not be announced through the wiki's announcement system. It will essentially become separate from the wiki itself, only functioning as a way for people to prove their worth. These applications will be available 24/7, every day of the year, unless otherwise specified.

I’d like to apologize in advance for the sudden notice & inconvenience for some users, but because of how things are right now, a few clarifications and possible adjustments will be made regarding a specific rule. So, for the sake of awareness, I highly recommend tuning in.

Due to a recent influx of NSFW posts, talk, behavior, and content as a whole, I figured I’d need to rehash a couple of Guidelines along with clarifying what they mean, where they can be found, and what can be expected to happen once the rule is set in motion.

For the uninformed: This rule can be found when creating a post, reply, or editing a post under the “Guidelines” section beneath the text input field (text box). You can then find Rule 11. As for the informed, you know who you are.

To clarify, this is not to say that all forms of sensitive content/topics are blocked. Sensitive content is allowed, but is highly recommended to be kept at a minimum or, simply, tasteful and overall, less alarming. To better flesh this out, what might cross the line includes but is not limited to explicit imagery or language, graphic descriptions of sensitive topics, and discussions that veer into borderline adult content.

Not only is NSFW disallowed here, but FANDOM's guidelines disallow it altogether, meaning that there's a possibility that a user could get blocked by a FANDOM moderator completely out of our reach.

The result of breaking the guideline depends on the severity of the post's content, ranging from deletion and a warning to an immediate block. If you are unsure whether a post might go against the guidelines, please contact a moderator so that they can confirm whether you’re in the green light or not. Better safe than sorry. If not contacting us, then simply use common sense. The core of what I’m getting at is that a large portion of the Wiki (especially new users) seem to be unaware of this, so this situation needs to be revisited and clarified.

Needless to say, I'd recommend revisiting the Rules page so you can get a better grasp of how the rules around here work. Keep in mind that any rules not explicitly stated in the aforementioned page does not mean it isn't there. Some are common knowledge/too obvious to be stated. Keep in mind that some rules are subject to change, but obviously, you'll be notified when that happens.

2. This means you cannot put "A+" or any of the letter ratings by specific moves, as well as biased information, because we will know.

Me and Starfight have taken the liberty of hosting in-house, exclusive Sysop applications for the current mods. As such, @GibMemes1 and @Danipro001 has been given Sysop permissions, breaking off from the Trio-Sysop standard.

They are both hard-working people, and great examples for anyone looking to improve on themselves.

I sincerely hope that they will do their best, and that the current mods don't get sad because they didn't win. I mean that.

Lastly, a main page revamp - in-house production!

The main page looks boring. Right? Right! As such, I'd like to apologize to @RetrofittedCalipers for getting angry at them changing the main page - because I've realised that it's actually needed.

But! I've taken the initiative upon myself to create a new & better main page, instead of placing all the responsibility on one guy.

I want to make it a collaborative effort, so any suggestions regarding it can be sent to my DMs within the near future. Everything is appreciated!

The wiki sure has been changing recently, and I aim to sum some of it up with this post, along with announcing the winners of the mod applications. Thank you for your patronage.

First off: Baguette has resigned from his staff position, as I'm sure all of you know already. He's free to come back whenever he likes, but currently, he doesn't want to.

Secondly: The discussion post guidelines have been updated, and instigating/fueling arguments is now disallowed. Please keep your conversations civil, and no posts such as "Please argue with me".

Thirdly: Some candidates on the mod applications were disqualified due to not providing a proper Discord, or even just a proper FANDOM username. Due to this, some otherwise acceptable applications have been denied. I hope you understand.

And last but not least: Blox Fruits will soon be getting a pretty hefty update, and I'm busy with stuff related to it.

Be prepared for a big amount of edits on the wiki once the day hits. It'll be quite swell.
