The Submarine Sentinel event is a repeatable quest that players can take from the Submarine Worker at Tiki Outpost for rewards, such as 2 new swords and upgrading materials.
To initiate the event, the player must be at least level 2550 and defeated Tyrant of the Skies once or more times. If the player hasn't done either of these things, he will say what he would normally say before the update:
"Ah, you spotted my beauty-in-progress!
Once she's patched up, we'll be exploring depths folks only dream about. Think of glowing creatures, sunken wrecks, and traces of ancient civilizations!
But first, I need to get her fully ready."
But if the player has done these things, he will say this instead:
"Oh! Fellow traveller! She's all finished! We'll be diving down in the deep depths in a matter of minutes!
But...surely you aren't coming alone, right?
The player now has 2 options: "Nah, just me." or "Yeah, I'm not going alone!"
If the player selects the first option, he'll say "Okay, whatever you say! It's not going to be a cakewalk down there though...
But if the player selected the second option, he'll say "Okay then! Gather your friends, and let's get going!"
If the player selected the second option, after the dialogue ends, there will be a server-wide announcement that reads "[Username] wishes to challenge the Heart of Tiki Outpost!"
This will let all players in the server know they have one minute to get to the submarine. If someone wishes to join the initiator's party, they can interact with their avatar to send them a request. If they accept, they will teleport inside the submarine. If they decline, the player will stay where they are. The maximum amount of people that can be in one party is 4. Once the minute is up, players will no longer be able to send requests to the initiator and a dialogue box will appear on every party members' screen, saying "Ah, how could I forget! You won't be able to use your fruit, gun or fighting style underwater, so I brought some swords so we could at least protect ourselves!"
Everything will disappear from the players' hotbars, and then a Sea Phantom Blade will appear in the players' hotbars.
The Submarine Worker will then say "It's dangerous down there, we have to make sure my beauty and you all stay safe. Make sure you don't run out of oxygen...but just imagine the treasures we'll find!! Let's go!"
All party members will then be teleported to a game server, where they will spawn underwater, inside the submarine with swimming gear. <Heart of Tiki> will appear at the top of everyone's screen.
Th event gets harder the more players there are.
The Submarine Worker will say "Keep your eyes peeled. The Heart of Tiki is unforgiving."
After this dialogue, there is a large chance that Sharks will spawn and attack the Submarine and players. Everyone must exit the submarine and start fighting them. As the Sharks die, Sea Beasts with glowing scales will spawn, although they'll only have 10-20k HP.
There will be a HP bar above the submarine to notify the party members how much damage it has taken. The aim is to try and stop it from taking too much damage.
If the player is not inside the submarine, there will be an oxygen meter atop their head. If this runs out for the first time, the player will start taking damage. If their HP hits 0, then a dialog box will show "The Submarine Worker desperately drags you back onto the submarine..."
The player will then be teleported to the submarine.
If it runs out for a second time and they lose all their HP, the player will die, lose all their loot, and spawn at Tiki Outpost.
You can interact with the submarine to refill your oxygen bar. This will require you to interact with the oxygen tank and stay stationary next to it for ~5 seconds as the bar visibly fills up.
As the game progresses, Sunken Chests may spawn.
Sunken Chests
Have a chance to drop:
50,000-100,000 Beli
100-500 Fragments
Hydro Thrusters can also come under this, you can attach it to the submarine whilst holding it to allow a speed boost for the submarine when needed. These do not heal it.
The maximum amount of people that can claim a chest is 2.
If the player is travelling on their own, less chests will spawn.
After being underwater for long enough, the submarine has a chance to encounter Ancient Civilizations.
Ancient Civilizations
Consists of a castle with 3 rooms.
It has a chance to spawn:
1-3 Common Scrolls
1 Rare Scroll
1 Mythical Scroll (at an extremely low chance)
5 regular chests with 100,000-500,000 Beli
Sentinel Blade (at an extremely low chance)
Everything other than the Mythical Scroll and Sentinel Blade can be picked up by everyone, although these 2 items can only be picked up by one player.
Any items picked up across the voyage cannot be used on the expedition.
When the submarine has travelled for about 5 minutes, Deep Sea Warriors will start spawning. They use Sharkman Karate Z and C and deal huge damage. They can drop Mystic Droplets upon defeat.
The event will end around 10-15 minutes after this, which results in the whole thing taking at least half an hour.
Squids can also attack. These use the slightly altered version of Regular Slingshot's new Z move, except it's black and the octopus doesn't appear. Instead, it inks the player's screen for 2 seconds.
Once it ends and everyone is back at Tiki, the worker will say "Thanks for helping me explore the Heart of Tiki! This was a dream come true! Oh..., my beauty looks a bit damaged. I'll patch her up, and if you want, we can explore the vast unknowns of Tiki again!"
The player will have to come back in 8hrs if they want to do the expedition again.
If the player successfully completes this event at least once, they get three titles: "Deep Sea Voyager", "True Sea King" and "True Sea Queen".
Notes
If the submarine reaches 0 HP, the players will lose everything and will be teleported back to Tiki.
If the player interacts with the worker during the 8 hours, he'll say "Love the enthusiasm, but she's still not ready!"
Apart from natural healing, players have no way to heal.
Accessories still have effect in the expedition.
If a Squid uses its move on the Submarine, it will be unable to move for 2 seconds. Anyone trying to refill their oxygen bar will be interrupted.
M1s do slightly more damage.
Players can pop V4 only once during the expedition.
Shark race players take less damage from Deep Sea Warriors.
To activate the speed boost, there will be a button to the left of the Submarine Worker (who will be navigating it) that a player can press to activate it.
Btw Sea Phantom Blade concept is on my message wall!! :)
