Dear Wiki Administration Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to respectfully raise a concern regarding the use of the term “official” in reference to the wiki.
I understand, based on statements on the site, that the wiki is explicitly not run by the game’s moderators, developers, or publisher, and that it is maintained by members of the community. I also recognize and appreciate the effort and time that volunteers invest into keeping the wiki accurate and up to date.
However, given that the wiki is not managed, owned, or formally endorsed by the game’s development team, the continued use of the word “official” may be misleading. In most contexts, “official” implies direct involvement, control, or explicit approval from the creators of the game. When this is not the case, readers may reasonably assume a level of authority or endorsement that does not actually exist.
This is not meant as criticism of the quality or value of the wiki. Community-run resources can be extremely reliable and useful. Rather, my concern is specifically about terminology and clarity. Describing the wiki as “community-run,” “fan-maintained,” or “unofficial” would more accurately reflect its status while still acknowledging its importance as a central information resource.
Clear labeling helps ensure transparency and avoids confusion, especially for new players who may rely on the wiki as an authoritative source. Adjusting the wording or adding a prominent clarification could prevent misunderstandings while maintaining trust with the community.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for all the work you do to support the player community. I hope you will consider this feedback in the spirit of accuracy and clarity in which it is offered.
Kind regards,
Cashu
